If Xbox had all playstation exclusives available on it, would you buy it over a Playstation?

Playstation exclusives focus on single player games, so even if they did come to Xbox I just wouldn’t buy them. I’m more of an online multiplayer gamer and sony suffers in that category.

I simply prefer the Xbox brand. I like the UI, controller, Live, and of course the games.

I prefer the Xbox controller and look of the console but ps has the single player games which have been great this generation. The ability of paying to play free to play games is also a joke.

Did I say my opinion was factual? You don't need to read my entire post to participate in the thread either.

I've always preferred to play multiplats on Xbox consoles ever since Microsoft first entered the market. So even if every Xbox game was also on another console, I would still buy Xbox consoles simply because the vast majority of games that I play are multiplats and I prefer to play those games in the Xbox ecosystem due to it's better online service, features, and controller.

Playstation consoles have always been consoles that I buy just for exclusives, but they don't even have that going for them anymore. I've been incredibly disapopinted with the exclusives that Sony has turned out this generation since they have become way too obsessed with pushing movie-games that I don't give a damn about instead of the greater variety that they used to provide on the PS1 and PS2.

If all of Sony's current exclusives came to Xbox, I still wouldn't buy any of them on Xbox because the type of exclusives that they are currently turning out doesn't appeal to me. If Sony wants my money next generation then they need to start making games that appeal to me again instead of just movie-games and JRPGs. Microsoft will get my money as long as they keep delivering the best online service, features, and controller while also continuing to offer physical media (they lose me if they go 100% streaming).

I have both this gen, but no. I still vastly prefer the PlayStation controller, online, UI, ecosystem, whatever. The Xbox was an impulse buy when I had a little extra money. I barely use it.

I have a PS4 Pro and the last time I turned the sucker on was for God of War and before that Horizon Zero Dawn. Because I play mostly multi platform games, the PS4 only offers a couple of games.

Of course all the filthy lemmings are saying "no, those games just don't appeal to me" meanwhile they're frothing at the mouth desperate for the same AAA exclusive content PS4 has.

At the start of the gen I would have still picked PS4, because I thought it was the better experience. If the choice was One X + all PS4 games then obviously I would pick that.

Well the Xbox is already my primary system of choice so obviously it would just continue to be so if that scenario were to occur.

As long as they also come to PC, I really don't care where Sony exclusive ends up.

Of course. The X1X typically provides a better gaming experience when comparing the same game.

This assumes that they aren't on PC as well because that's a far superior experience to any console. I wouldn't have consoles.

@storm_of_swords: I would argue that open world games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Spiderman and Ghost of Tsushima, or games like The Last Guardian, Detroit:become human, infamous second son, Ratchet and Clank and so on are a pretty decent list of exclusives otherwise not available on the Xbox.

If all PS4 exclusives from Sony were on Xbox it still wouldn't negate the fact they can be watched on YouTube like they can now.

That's ehh, quite the quality list of varied AA-AAA console exclusives right there. I would argue there is a lack of exclusive multiplayer games in there, but there is an overabundance of those with multi-platform games. I would also argue that most of the games on this list could be replaced by an equal of quality Multiplatform title so there are enough games on both consoles. But there are atleast 10 single player stories in there that are worth owning and I don't feel the same about Microsoft current console exclusive games.

Cows should get a class action going against Sony for charging to play online and provide very little themselves, well that or Sony should give that money to its third party developers who create MP content.

I guess I would still buy both an Xbox and Playstation console. Since I have all the playstations except PS4 slim and Xboxes except for Xbox One X. Google, Amazon or Apple will eventually end up buying Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo. Should a console less gaming future. I promised that I would be gaming until Playstation 9. But there may not be anymore consoles after PS5, Xbox 4 and Nintendo 8.

However Xbox brand seems to be the first to bow out and offer it's games on another brand. Sony and Microsoft still have their exclusive games.

@Megavideogamer: Could very well happen. I think after PS5 I will be moving to the PC platform and use my consoles for legacy games. I still have my Xbox 360 too for games like Naruto Rise of the Ninja/Broken Bond and Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005.

Many of those are movie-games which is what I said I'm disappointed that Sony has become so obsessed with this generation because I don't like that type of game. And the ones that aren't still aren't my cup of tea.

The only exclusives that Sony had on PS4 that I loved were Rocket League and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but both of them eventually went multiplat leaving the PS4 with no exclusives that I care about anymore. After Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was announced as going multiplat, that went the last thing keeping me on the PS4 train and Sony hasn't released or announced anything since then to get me back.

I think letting Rocket League go multiplat was a huge mistake for Sony as well. They should have opened up their wallet and offered more money to keep that game exclusive because if they had, they could have marketed it as their big multiplayer exclusive which is an area that they are weak in compared to Xbox and Nintendo.

I most defenently would. I go where the games go so I dont hold an allegiance to a particular corporation. If it was the Xbox 360 I wouldn't have because It's the most garbage console ever made. It doesn't matter how good the games are if the console doesn't work.

I think you're the only person that's ever said they like the UI. Almost everyone agrees, the laggy, cluttered UI of the Xbox is horrid.
