Is Fallout 4 pretty much the only quality AAA game you can play this holiday season on PS4? (unless you're into Just Cause 3 and R6 Siege, I guess, but Siege is a very specific game I cannot imagine being very popular with regular gamers).

Ubisoft doesn't make AAA games.

I'm playing Witcher right now, on my PS4, this holiday. I'd say no.

Nah, I am very near the end at this point. According to IGN's FAQ, just three quests away from the end.

I've been playing the game since May, I've been enthusiastic ever since. After this, I still have The Phantom Pain, Fallout 4, Tales of Zestiria, and Black Ops 3 to go through. I'm probably not going to be done with the PS4 until February-March of next year at the earliest.

I hear Hearts of Stone builds on the vanilla game's strengths, if you ever have the time, might not be a bad idea to at least give it a go.

Ahh, CoD, Battlefront, and Fallout 4. Three games I wouldn't feel like playing even if you gave them to me and threw in a $300 bonus.

Bunch of different stuff. Yeah, mostly stuff on PC, some stuff on Wii U, and one game on PS4, Bloodborne. As per usual, I was late to the party on that one.

If you have a WiiU Xenoblade is just right around the corner.

eh for PS4 you still have those other games that came out during the year. like The Witcher 3, Batman and Metal Gear Solid.

I have MGSV, Until Dawn, Shovel Knight, Dragon Quest Heroes laying around waiting to be played on Ps4. I playing Tales of Zestiria now which i am not even close to be done with, think that will last until next year. I dont feel i lack games to play if i want to.

@Salt_The_Fries: No. Just think it's funny how you leave out games just to prove some half-assed point. Your thread is all about Ps4 owners only having Fallout 4 as their one AAA title, yet you start off by dismissing a total of 4 games.

Where did I dismiss any games? If you mean in the thread's title, then I guess there's nothing to discuss since you cannot imagine anybody NOT being interested in CoD and BF.

And finally, it's not a half-assed point, plenty of people are not into multiplayer-oriented games like CoD and BF, and they are also highly aversive towards those series regardless of their MP-focused nature anyway.

You dismissed half of my post that way and then you refuse to discuss a perfectly valid topic. Imagine if someone has a diabetes and can eat only certain foods, what if that person doesn't like some of these certain foods. Somebody could make a thread about that on some forum and ask "if you don't like foods X&Y, what's left for me to eat?". How on Earth would such worded topic be devoid of any point and sense? Also, imagine that some people cannot stomach neither CoD nor BF. If I owned a PS4, I'd be in exact such situation for example.

P.S. I'm not comparing CoD / BF to a serious condition, although they seem like a cancer or disease to the gaming industry to many players. But both situations could have exactly the same outcome in terms of the question asked - what can I try out if I don't like something.

Bit sceptical about fallout 4, the metacritic score discrepancy between critics and user is far too high. Still deciding whether to get the pc or ps4 version since if I get it on pc and end up not liking it very much I can't sell it but if I get it on ps4 I'm stuck with shitty fps which drops right down to 20...at least for The Witcher 3 I knew I was going to love it and I did.

Definitely man, I have negative interest in those games.

That said, the topic is an odd one. Though you and I may give no fucks about those games, others do. It's like you're trying to say the PS4 is a bust this holiday, but by pretending that Fallout 4 is the only big game some peeps will be interested in. Makes little sense.

Random note, I just picked up Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for 10 bucks on GOG. Never played the original and haven't played 2 in years, should be fun!

Fallout 4(Bethesda games in general) will be very interesting game after two years. And this is not because of Expansion Packs or DLCs.

Honestly, no AAA budget game interests me atm. FO4 may with mods, but that would require me to build a new PC and I'm trying to wait until next year for that. I'll probably stick to CS:GO and play the lesser demanding games in my backlog.

Anyhow, I'll probably pass on COD and Battlefront myself, and after Just Cause 3 I'll be playing catch-up with the last few games. Never finished MGS5:TPP, maybe I'll dabble in some Destiny TKK and see what updates they've made since release, finish AC Synidcate, play more Halo 5 online, still have yet to get to Fallout 4. do some Xbox 360 BC on Xbox One, never played Stick of Truth but just picked that up, was thinking of Bioshock but wasn't there a rumored next gen collection sneaking up on us(?), oh and maybe Mirror's Edge but maybe I'll wait there (maybe they'll give that away with people who pick up the next game).

If I can get through any of that, there's other releases from this year I'd like to get through, like Dark Souls II: Scholar's of First Sin, and Final Fantasy Type-0 that I'd like to try, Dark Souls II is like $40 and seems okay at that price but FF-Type-0 still goes for full price digitally so waiting for a price drop there.

Most lems ain't playing them either judging from sales. Forza 6 may very well be the biggest sales bomb all year with Tomb Raider giving it a run for its money,

@Salt_The_Fries: I'm defiantly buying Battlefront on PC, still playing Fallout 4 so at this point, that's it for this year 2015 unless Senran Kagura: Estival Versus comes out this December on PS4, that will be my last game for 2015. Battlefront, Fallout 4, and a little fun with Halo 5.

Yeah, I still need to play Bloodborne. I've decided to hold off for the Complete edition or Old Hunters Edition or whatever it's going to be called - which strangely doesn't seem to have a physical release set in the U.S. But I'm sure it will...

I'm getting Battlefront day 1, and that's what I'll be playing for pretty much all of November. I will also be getting lots of previously released games on black friday as well. So don't worry, no shortage of games to be played on PS4 - new or old. =)

Well I am playing right now Arkham Knight for PS4. Great game, besides some frustrating car sections.

Im midly interested in BF and FO4, but wont get those till they reach the $30 range. Id rather play Until Dawn or DQH tbqh.

Calling it now: Just Cause 3 is going to be MORE FUN AND ENJOYABLE than any open world game of the past five years, including Grand Theft Overrated V.

Perhaps if all anyone does is buy brand new games and beats them immediately.

There is no real way for any gamer to keep up with most mainstream releases and really ENJOY the games. Let alone on more than one console.

Besides, AAA is overrated. I'd actually be A LOT more hyped if some indies receive a sequel/spiritual sequel. I would totally capitalism the shit out of a Recettear spiritual sequel.

Definitely man, I'll eventually give Fallout 4 a go, I just don't do the early adopter thing with Beth games. Last time I did that was with Oblivion, lesson learned.

I hear ya. I was already more than satisfied at 50 hours, everything after that was just a bonus.

Funny thing is, I have nearly 200 hours on the game and I'm nowhere near 100%. Tbh though, I don't think I'll ever go for it. I just don't feel like grinding for pointless upgrades, or trying to capture rare animals.
