I dont understand how some people make blogs and steam groups about how Activision is bad and the devil and yet they still buy their games. Activision, like any company, cares not about your blog or your forum posts but instead about sales. If you give them a sale, they will continue doing what they are doing, if not they will change. So how can entire steam groups of people hate COD MW2 and buy it and somehow think they arenot massive idiots for doing so? How can people hate the game and buy and somehow think there complaining changes anything? The reason i ask is because a lot of posts say that "COD BLOWS BF3 ALL THE WAY"and yet they play cod.

Yeah how funny was it when the steam community made that boycott of MW2 and the day it was released 90% of the members had the game.

So then who has the right to complain if not the people who buy it? Why should people who have no interest or don't buy it have that right?

The reverse is true too. If you haven't actually played it, do you have the right to complain about it?

I badmouth CoD here and there, but I have my principles. Didn't agree with IW's decision to exclude ded servers in MW2, did not buy. Wholeheartedly agreed with Trey's decision to re-include them in BO, bought. But didn't play very much because I realised the PC version was awful. I don't jump on bandwagons unless I experience it firsthand.

First off what is going on with all these COD threads?

Secondly the games are basically the same and I won't be buying MW3 as it's not offering anything different. I do own all COD games and I play BO on PS3 from time to time, but I'm not at all interested in MW3 since I ALREADY have the same experience and game. I don't "hate" COD, in fact I used to be a pretty big fan, it's just that as time went on I lost interest in it because I felt like the series wasn't making any progress.

But if other people still enjoy it than that's fine, don't fix what isn't broken kind of thing. And if that's what the fans want than good for them, but for ME I personally expect a little more from my sequels.

That doesn't really make any sense. You can play a franchise and point out the flaws and complain all you want.

Example: I have Black Ops. I hate the fact the map packs are $15 therefore I do not buy the map packs.

If anything, it should be the fans that supported the franchise that complain now because of how stagnant the franchise has become.

For the record I own CoD 1, UO, 2, 4, WaW, and Blops and enjoy them all greatly. Especially WaW, that game is totally underrated.

You have every right to complain about a product you paid money for, there's no such thing as not having a right to your opinion.

Well I'd think the only people who should complain are actually people who play the game.

However it doesn't help to both complain about the game, and then buy the next one. That really does tell Activision to keep doing what they're doing.

Well I don't buy them, I rent them. After MW2 I got tired of the series and didn't even bother with BO and have no interest in MW3.

No, If you buy Call of Duty you have every right to say what is absolutely wrong about the series.

Like Smash Bros. Brawl, If we just shut up and said that the game is perfect in everyway, What do you think is going to happen in the sequel?

More Tripping. That's what's going to happen.

Developers Need to learn from their Mistakes in order to make a Game BETTER not WORSE.

The MW2's infinite share of problems were treated by the developer with total lack of interest and hurry to fix the problems. IW is the most lazy developer on the first person genre when concears customer support.

Depends on what the complaining is about. If you're speaking up about an exploit, or a gameplay mechanism that needs to change, then no problem. If you hate milkage, or whatever, yet buy the game then you're probably being contradictory.

Call of Duty has always been a great series. The MP is extremely addicting. Maybe people are angry because they feel exploited by this addictiveness? This sort of situation isn't uncommon in other areas of life.

Of course they can complain. If they bought a product and are unsatisfied with it, they have every right to complain, they can also complain if they dont like the direction a franchise is going. For that matter, one could buy it but only play it to play with friends or family.

The ones who shouldnt complain about the game is the ones who dont buy it or havent bought it. People like me.

The title should have been " If you DONT buy CoD you have no right to complain about the way the franchise is ". Do you not understand customer satisfaction? And if you didn't buy you have no right to complain!!!

Well to be fair the complaints made over the BF3 content only received when you preorder at certain stores caused EA to change the policy so they sometimes work. And I either buy COD games 2nd hand or borrow my friends copy+Steam account to use it.
