There are several consoles that I did enjoy, but if I had to choose one, and only one, it'd be the Xbox 360, personally. I made a lot of memories playing, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Forza, Mercenaries 2 and others on that system.
If I could regress in terms of memories from the games, then it's PS1, shortly followed by PS2. The PS1 held some of my favourite FF games, as well as MGS, plus a multitude of others. I miss the OG Xbox for KotOR, but I preferred the PS for everything else.
Hmm. I guess I would go with the SNES myself. The system has a veritable boat load of amazing classic games and I would say that it was the golden age of gaming for me.
SEGA Dreamcast. Give it a longer lifespan. See what the system hardware was actually capable of. Maybe also give it a DVD-ROM upgrade.
PS3 was my first console so I only have one option lol. I enjoyed the PS3, but Switch and PS4 are better.
N64 and Saturn. N64 because its still got the best games but hot damn those controllers. Saturn because the library never really made it to the States and the emulation scene aint there last i checked.
Umm, you do realize the xbox one is BC and can play those games, right?
no "bringing back" is needed.

Saturn indeed was a hidden gem.
Best fighting game console under $600.
I don't quite understand what you mean by "bring back" since I can still play all of my old consoles.
If you mean that publishers would still be making new games for the console then my choice would be the Sega Genesis because it would be nice to have a console on the market that is completely dedicated to 2D games and it would bring Sega back to the console market.
As you can still purchase any previous system through various means... I think I would reword the question as, "What system do you think deserves a modern successor?" and/or "What favorite system do you think needs more games developed for it and what would those games be?"
For me, I would have loved a Ninja Turtles game for my Sega Game Gear. It's the one series from that era really missing on the system.
As for a Game Gear successor, I would buy it but probably wouldn't play it. I'm kind of over handheld gaming and have been since PSV was such a disservice to Playstation fans.
Well I was going to say mega drive, but sega releasing the mini, so I would now go with the N64 ,Dreamcast or the Cube
I would support a modern console that had the ambitiousness of the Sega Genesis. For a company to come swimming into a market dominated by Nintendo at the height of its branding power and do it's own thing was a beautiful chapter in gaming. Someone needs to bring that kind of competition and dedication to Sonys doorstep. We would all be much better off for it.
I would bring back the Super Nintendo since it is still my all time fave. But they already have (sort of with the Super NES classic) So how about a proper SNK Neo Geo
But for a practical re-release there may be no console that can be brought back to market.
