If you could go back and only choose one console...

Which one would you choose?

Xbox 360 for me because of Halo 3 and Gears of War, and Xbox Live

As for portable, probably the PSP because of all the media functionality it still has, but the iPhone/iPod Touch could easily surpass that once developers really start making games for it(iPhone is more powerful than PSP and DS combined)

Blu-Ray hasn't become prevalent and cheap enough($25-$35 for a BD disc!) for me to choose a PS3. Now of course in a few years the decision of what to get if you could go back might be different, but the 360 with its exclusives looks better for now to me.

And I probably wouldn't get a handheld either.

Or at least wait a long time before jumping into this gen. It's not too good so far, at all.

What was 2007 rated as far as gaming was concerned? Only second to 1997 I think? Yes this gen has been so terrible so far :roll:

So many negative people like you. This gen is easily becoming one of the best gens because for the first time ever there are three legitimate consoles out at the same time releasing amazing games.

I'd take refuge in my PS2.

With over 200 games unopened and unbeaten, I think I shall have fun for some time.=)

Give me an n64 and conkers bad fur day...see you next year.

I don't know... I might choose just the PS3. I've had a lot of good gaming with the console and I still love it. The 360 is great and everything, but when I want to play it I could play my roommate's 360 or something. For handhelds I couldn't decide.

But it is too early to tell: KH3 would be a big deciding factor and I don't know if I could live without Zelda, Fable 2, GoW3, KH: 358/2 Days and KH: BbS.

Imo, this is the worst gen I've participated in. To me, it's full of overhyped games that fail to deliver a memorable experience. While I'm glad games like THPS aren't getting 10s anymore, when games like Warioware or PDZ manage AAA, and the best we've got are MGSIV and GTAIV (neither worthy of a 10) then it's not really worth it. Not yet anyway.
