I don't want any of them to fail. Why as a gamer would you ever want them to fail?Burnsmiesta
It isn't that we want any of them to fail. I took the question to mean that if you had to pick one of them to fail then which one and why.
I would want the Wii to drop out so there is no chance of any of that shovelware making its way over to the true gaming systems.-Sphere-

There will always be shovelware, and it will always go to the most popular console. If the Wii was gone, the shovelware would just go to the other systems. PS2 had shovelware, PS1 had shovelware, SNES had shovelware, NES had shovelware, and Atari 2600 had shovelware.

Owned.
Yeah, I'd say that even though I really dislike Microsoft's handling of the 360 (and PCs as well, Vista is ass), I would say the PS3. It tries too hard to be a computer, which isn't what consoles shoud have.
Which would it be?
As for me i don't want any of them to fail, but how about you?

Ditto, Diversity is good
Well, I agree that MS should learn a lesson for the 360s failure rate. But, honestly, aren't they already getting licked because of it? I can't remember the number, I thought it was in the billions they have to pay to replace so many units. Thats lesson enough. I'm quite sure we will not see anything like this on their next system.
The Wii to me serves such little purpose. I like the idea of virtual console, but their current games, save more maybe...one or two, all suck.

MadExponent
3 billion..and im sure microsoft wont let something like this happen again with they're next console.
The ps3 deffinitly
theres no point to it this gen it birng nothing but broken promises and flops to the table and dont foget the mega milkage they have cow's doing with buying a controller with rumble AND having to buy a new HDD because of mandatory installs.
If the Wii dropped out, there would be nowhere to distribute all the lame party games, third party bargain bin titles, sport vehicle endorsements (Kawasaki), and Nintendo 64 rehashes... Is that really such a bad thing then?TheXboxgamer73
If the 360 dropped out, other consoles would have to be more concerned about hardware failure.
With every other 360 dieing, nobody cares if a Wii or PS3 breaks.
Is that really such a bad thing?
I don't want any of them to fail because competition breeds excellence. :)SaintBlazeOr in the Wii's case shovelware.
Prediction: PS4 will be sonys last console.
PS3 marked the time in the industry where Sony shot their brand name in the foot. Its laughable that brand loyalty between the PS3 and 360 is so close, even with RROD.
Next gen, when MS gets another headstart, they will more likely hold their lead cause Sony LOST their PS2 brand loyalty by then.
Thats what cows fear....and what I cant wait to see happen.
If anything I'd have the 360 dropped out.
Too much console failure (mine's dead right now), too much for accessories ($100 for a wireless adapter, WTF?!), and general overpricing of things (most DLC)
None. Without the PS3 means no more FF13 :(. Without the 360 means no more Gears 2 :(. Without the Wii, no more Kid Icarus Wii and every other famous franchises.sargentbotk
from what I heard FF13 uses an engine that is quite compatable with 360. Plus without the cell and its difficulties, u wont have to wait as long for the game to finish.

Keep dreaming, Nintendo already showed that it's possible to come back from a beating. Nintendo with the N64 and Gamecube they lost two generations and now they're back on top. Sony aren't going anywhere.

Who'd they lose to with the N64? I agree the Gamecube wasn't great but the N64 was legendary.

The Sony Playstation. The N64 had great line-up with some killer games but the Sony Playstation was better.
