If you could kill a genre?

I know this is system wars but there is a bigger battleto be fought... even against people on your own system! Some people complain:

1.First person shooters are all the same, just different themes!

2.JRPGs are so boring, who wants to play a turn based game?!

3.Platformers are so stupid, It's just jumping!

And so on. It's almost Christmas and Santa has giving you a magical CDthat will let you select one genre to never exist. ;)

Massively Multiplayer online games, so many people play them and for what? St.yeish looking gear with huge +stat bonuses so you can kill people in PVP who don't have them or get even more bulky looking gear (or more naked if you have a female character.) with even bigger +stat bonuses? The point of MMOs is too meet people you would never had in real life and work as a team. But even nowadays some people don't even want to do that.

why would i care about games i dont like? i dont like them - i dont play them - thus i dont care.

first person shooters is where its at.

DUDE WE NEED MORE... *CLears throat* ... BOOZE! xD! 360 without Shooters is like life with no meaning.

1. Mini-games - kill of the "genre" and just put them in games that are larger in scope and just feature these as extra content.
2. Puzzle games - Unless it's something like Portal to me it's nothing more than a specific over glorified mini-game.
3. Rhythm games - Same as above but less thought more twitch, in the end just a specificover glorified mini-game. (both this and the above would be good as additions to games with more substance)

Turn-based RPGs. They bore me to no end since you're not really involved in the action at all. Not my type of game since I have to be in control of my characters, not just tell them what to do. (Adventure games are a special case.)

Anything that has RPG on it.

Any rpg that requires you to level up.

I've been sick of leveling up my characters since my first rpg *ff7*.

Final fantasy 10 broke this barrier, by taking away leveling up entirely, and made it a whole lot better.

I couldn't really care this is just a 'the genre you dislike the most' thread. But if less genres existed, the existing genres will be getting more games, more fans, more support, and more improvements. Say if online multiplayer never existed, do you think the core game play of shooters will improve more quickly? I mean, no fancy RPG system with classes and leader boardswill save it. People would give them more involving stories and more unique players to make them sell.(But there would be a lot of cruddy games in those genres as well.)

And there was a genre that DID die. Pat and Ball games.

I would also like to voice my disaproval of anyone wanting to kill JRPGs. Its about the stories guy, come on! Im going to assume that people who dont like JRPGs also hate reading fantasy novels.
