You know uh... those subwoofers can actually destroy electronics if placed too close and played too loud.

I have the money to do that but I wouldn't. The room is too small, the HDTV is played too close to be comfortably seen, it's a pretty horrible way to set up the PC.

And that guy is using FANS. If you have the money, everything would be watercooled. What a nub. Probably bought everything preset or retail.

7800 = PS3/360, and is still capable of running Crysis at high settings on a good resolution, according to the Crysis website. I could post videos of the $2000 8800 Ultra OC Watercooled "Black Pearl" SLI setup.

(That's $2000 for the two 8800s!)

right, but you can only overclock so much. where i have mine clocked is max, not because of heat, but because the system becomes unstable. i have 5 120mm fans in my case, the north bridge fan, a Zerotherm BTF90 cpu cooler, and my GPU fan full blast (actually quieter than you would think, i love the Antec P180B case)

why would you go water cooling?

they have phase cooling now.....

its so strong it can cool a normal CPU to sub-freezing temperatures (though it would damage it)

using phase cooling...they were able to clock a P4 @ 7.5

agreed, water cooling is kinda silly, they have A/C systems build for PC's now, why waste time with something as dangerous for electronics as coolant.

Do you know how ridiculously expensive it is to buy one of those A/C systems? It's easier to make your own watercooling system by buying the tubing, etc yourself.

Phase change is hard to accomodate. You'd need to build your house around it unless you want hoses running through doors or out the window.

do you know how expensive it is to buy 2 8800 ultra's, a 46' Aquos, a 1100 watt sound system, 3 total PC's, 2 other monitors, that mouse (which is about 80 bucks, i just bought one) the driver control, the keyboard that lights up to music, and has a display, the desk, the chair, etc.?

in the end, most of that crap is worthless anyway. show me a game he can run that i cant run smoothly, and we will talk. he wasted all that money, and in the end, he cant do anything i cant do. the kid obviously lives in a tiny little room, and wasted all his money on that.

and finally, water cooling is dangerous for your components. those hoses can burst, and you are out anything that coolant touches, plus can damage flooring, carpets, etc.

Lol! Hoses burst. Man, are you using highschool science lab rubber hoses? Current water cooling technology are extremely awesome. And how the heck does a hose burst if there's no pressure or you, cutting it.

Yea, a LOT of that stuff is extremely unnecessary for gaming. Hell my computer would smoke his (8800 gts, e6600, 2gb G.Skill 6400 with D9 chips, and 680i mobo) and I know for a fact that I paid a lot less for my setup than he did for his.

if there was no pressure, the water wouldnt move smart guy. hell, cars use metal lines for heater cores, and leak all the time. it happens, things fail, and have leaks. if metal cant hold it, then any plastic/rubber hose is susceptible also

Well of course I'm running it on a lower resolution (1280x1024). I can't nearly afford to buy a TV/Giant monitor :(

As for the RAM, its pretty easy to find on newegg.com

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231065

was only $100 when I bought em though, and so far I haven't really pushed them that far (900 mhz @ 4-4-4-12)

Looks nice, but it still needs a few things to be considered an "ultimate" setup: -A Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar with Simped F-16 pedals(and perhaps replacement gimbals or force transducers as well)or CH Products Fighterstick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals combo. (Might get in the way of that nice G25 wheel and its pedals, though.) -A TrackIR 4 head-tracking system. (He could at least use it in GTR2.) Overall, though, I'm somewhat envious(which is not uncommon since my PC is an old 2002 box with minor upgrades that can barely run any modern game on MINIMUM settings)...at least until I get a new PC in late July/mid August. Put it in my living room with the 43" HDTV and a 5.1 speaker system(well, 5.0 since the subwoofer's dead), and I'll have a setup that rivals this guy's(well, except for the G25).

Wait...Flight Sim X for your virtual F-16 needs? Why aren't you flying, say, Falcon 4.0 instead?

ROFL!

Anyway, this is the video that shows off the "Black Pearl" the best current computer video card (as of 07/07/07). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTTxH9VxSaI

Of course it's unnecessary, but, I've seen videos in which this video card will give off 500+ frames per second in computer games, LOL! Console, anyone?

I loled when I saw all that high tech stuff and then saw the crappy CRT. But I don't think I would need a 46' that close to my eyes. I don't wanna go blind. But that is a nice set up. :)

Why does it seem no one can setup a multi channel surround sound system properly? And who in their right mind uses the 3rd person view in a racing game with a steering wheel? Blasphemy!! But the HDTV kicks ass, I wish I had one, the G25 is also sweet...PC is outdated though. Not bad all around, but I hate people who show off their stuff like that.

I could basically spend my hole life in that one room and never get bored :P and to answer your question, yes I would spend the money to deck out my room like that.
