It's close, but SEGA edges out Nintendo. The collective libraries of the Master System, Genesis, SEGA CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, and Game Gear are too good to pass up.
I would have to go with microsoft because they got me back into games after i had quit playing for years.My cousin had the original xbox and showed me xbox live and from there on i was hooked.I went out the next day and bought an xbox,ghost recon,nba 2k something and a live membership.
Sony. I like how their internal studios have original games coming out every gen. Nintendo is mostly about old franchises, which I don't like too much.
Hard choice. I'd hate to miss out on PS2 because it's probably the best console ever, but then I hated PS1 and PS3 is....so-so, so it's not worth it for that console alone. Nintendo has had solid consoles. Little dry on third party support in the later days but still plenty of great games. I grew up with Sega though, and I say PS2 is "probably" the best console ever because I can't decide between PS2 and the MegaDrive. I liked all of their other consoles too, from Master System to the Dreamcast. I'd choose Sega if it were up to 2001, but if I had to choose one line from the 80's until now it would be Nintendo as the past 7 years would have been hard since Sega had nothing.
