[QUOTE="Blackbond"][QUOTE="SolidTy"]Finally, you will need to buy AT LEAST TWO fighting sticks if you are hardcore, since you would presumably have friends over.
SolidTy
Why do you need two? The stick is for you and not them. Most of my friends would never even touch a stick in the first place. The stick is for me. If you have a desire to use one then buy your own lol
How many hours of frusteration and abuse can your friends take before they realize you are in one corner pumping away at a $180 stick, and they are fumbling around with a Dpad (Or worse a 360 Dpad) before they never want to play again.
Last Generation, it only took about a few weeks before I was declared king of all fighters, and they never wanted to play Fighters with me again. Of course, my fighting posse have sticks, but I would love if everyone could play.(I now throw games to keep the casuals interested, give them a taste so they come back for more)
But hey, you're right, let them suffer, it is at least entertaining. :)
That's there decision. I don't have to be hardcore to buy too. Buying one would entitle you to be hardcore. Hell more then hardcore people are literally willing to offer sacrifices for those things. If they don't want to play it again. That's them. I don't need to buy two.
Most people when they go to events bring their own stick. They don't use other people's. You don't get provided one. If they don't want to play well that's them. There are some people who refuse to play COD LAN on the Pitt networks because they hate M/KB and when they use controller they get crushed and say its unfair.
Arcade Sticks have a learning curve anyways. No new comer is going to pick it up and be immediately competitent with it anyways. I can't name a person who picked up an arcade stick and was just immediately proficient right away.
Most of my friends that are casual players don't feel like fighting over the learning curve so they just use the pad.
Its a waste of money to buy two. I buy for me and for me only. I have a custom X-Arcade Dual and most of the time others just usually opt for the pad anyways.
