I already have a Wii u, but I still dont think is that great of a console. I like it a lot, but its mostly for exclusives, anything else I rather get on my X1,PS4, or PC. I've bought one game for it this year, and that was Mario Kart 8. I need to pick up a classic controller, and Bayonetta 2, but after that I'm not looking forward to anything on the system. I definitely recommend the system if you can find it on sale, but I dont think its worth the $300 asking price.

No one can debate against this. Wii U is the best console to own in 2014. PS4 is the best console to own this gen. Consumers have smartened up and are going with the top console of this generation, the PS4.

I'm a fan of the false dichotomy in the Lemming mind-set that states that what is bad for Sony is good for XBox and vice versa. I don't like the Xbox. At all. I think they played their hand and are out of ideas on where to take gaming. Calling the Xbox out for its weaknesses just makes you a Sony fanboy by default. God's honest truth? I've been a gamer long before there ever was Playstation and I will be a gamer long after, too.

For now, the XBox has its head on the chopping block. If I am still posting here into Generation 9, 10, 11 or what have you then you will see I don't 'love' Sony. I just happen to find their direction very agreeable this time around.

Two - Sonys first party is not as strong as it was last gen. They've closed and cut ties with quite a few studios in just the last few years.

It's already happened, though. XBox One exclusivity is a joke. Plants Versus Zombies: Garden Warfare called, it said your third party support is uber leet.

This depends on what you mean by games because to the average consumer the Wii u does not have any games.

Pretty sure Plants vs Zombies GW was never exclusive to begin with since it was also on 360 and later PC and most people knew it would be on PS4 later on anyway.

And him being the guy that cut $400 million cheques to the NFL doesn't change the fact he's passionate about games and gaming on Xbox. He's put his money where his mouth is and already after 6 months we've seen an added focus on gaming as Xbox. Don't deny it.

Im glad you've admitted defeat for 2014 though by moving the discussion to next year. Off the top of my head there heavy hitters are Halo 5 and Quantum Break next year. Will there be more? Yeah, you're fooling no one. Those games didn't abandon shit. Spencer said a long time ago that MS would support PC more this gen, and they are. You can bet your bottom dollar that with games like DR3, Titanfall etc. that PC releases were 100% part of the agreement. I know its hard for some to swallow, but outside SW (in the outside world) releasing those games on Windows works an advantage for MS.

@RR360DD: I'd also like to add that even though the Wii U has some wonderful titles, giving up Far Cry 4, Halo MCC, AC Unity, DA Inquisition, Sunset, Forza Horizon 2 and Ori for Bayonetta 2, Smash and Captain Toad doesn't seem like a very good trade off.

Which has the better library is highly subjective - personally, I have always though Killzone sucked, for instance.

@Shewgenja: I plan on getting a Wii U before the year is over. Unlike some people on here, i don't favor just one platform. After Nintendo won this years E3, the games on the Wii U have been looking very good. There are at least 6-7 must have titles I want for it now. it'll go nicely with all the XB1 games I've been playing. Gotta wait until next year for Bloodborne, The Witcher 3 and The Order 1886 for my PS4.

Better library is subjective. Quantity of games and scores can still be used to determine the better library though. As far as I can tell this thread talks about games. It looks like I'm talking about the right subject.
