IGN: Crysis 2 - The Rock, the hard place, and the PS3.

The verdict? Not so great, unfortunately. The performance of the PS3 version is pretty underwhelming. The framerate is frequently low and choppy. There are jagged lines everywhere, and shadows are especially messy. There's a muddiness to the graphics that's hard to stomach in the wake of the PS3's other flagship showpieces, and worse, the variable framerate really hurts controller response.

Ouch. Better luck next time PS3 owners.

So Crytek abandoned the PC to make a great console game and they couldn't even do that? Now no one gets a good game. Thanks consoles.

I was gonna get this...But after seeing more and more,I'm definitely turning this down regardless on whatever platform it is.

Not only are they good liars (Crytek), but they're dissapointing everyone at this point.

Not a suprised. With PS3 version always being hidden all the time no wonder. I don't expect anything different from X360. Honestly I knew this game wasn't going to be anywhere near graphics king material in the first place. We have Cysis 2 on PC for that. But on consoles, Killzone 3 looks 10X better than Crysis 2.

The game seems TERRIBLE for all platforms at this point so I'm not getting it.

Console wise, Kz3 is better looking and smoother running.

Though not 10X...

This is more of crytek's own fault than the problems of the platforms. I was never interested in the game anyways, and most people only care for this game for the graphics.

I was referring to the console versions obviously. I take your comment that Crysis 2 (360) > KZ3 to be a joke. Let me know when Crysis 2 (360) will run above sub-par hd with a stable framerate.

Im still gonna wait for final retail code comparisons, but this isnt looking too hot for PS3 only owners.

Crytek went from a great PC developer to a mediocre multiplat developer really quickly. I can already imagine that the sales and critical reviews aren't going to be to their liking...KHAndAnime

thats how superficial most people here are unfortunetly. One dev makes a graphics king and they're the best in the world, in this case its been years of praise too, one flop later everyone hates them. There's no really no such thing as loyalty among these people.

lol, the IGN hate kidna confounds me. It seems people only hate on them just because. Seriously, theyve actualy made great strides over last year and I think Hilary Goldstein is going to make it into something rather great. However, people will continue to jsut hate on the site. Honestly, atleast I find the site interesting, unlike Gamespot. Only reason I come here is for forums.

They sold out, happens to a lot of devs. For sales thye pander and make quick sale console titles. But in order to sell to console thye have to make the games super easy and super simple.
