I hope they can clean it up by the time it launches in America I guess the animation system won't be changed but PS2 animations...is sort of vague...I am surprised there isn't a class action lawsuit against Epic because everyone seems to have problems with this engine.

lol the games looks good but some parts of it did look last gen. character models look emotionless sometimes. Main character is n't interesting but I gonna keep watching it.

Also, from the footage i've seen of the game, it looks pretty nice. Granted, the animations were kinda old school, but the graphics were cool. Disappointing to hear it's not at par.

I guess people are suddenly realizing that it takes a team to make a game like FF, not just it's creator.

Kind of sucks, the story sounded sweet it was definitlya game I wanted, prolly still get for that matter. They say third times a charm, maybe they'll get it right wirth Cry On?

Yea most of the game looks good. i just watched the 5 the trailers from gamersydes. certain parts were ok looking.

What I want to see out of Sakaguchi is improvement with this game. Blue Dragon is a solid "A" effort at 77.5% on Gamerankings. So I want Lost Odyssey to be at least an 80%. Why do I say this you ask? Because the man hasn't been the head of a project in a very very long time. He hasn't gotten to do it completely his way. Blue Dragon 2 looks to be the next offering after LO, and if that score rises above 85% then you can begin to talk about Sakaguchi as a modern RPG developer.

That said, bring on the 8.0 review for Lost Odyssey.

It's a JRPG which are riddled with watching cut-scenes and watch-me type battle systems.

So where exactly do you come to the conclusion that animations don't seem important?

In the six hours that I've played so far, Lost Odyssey has been a technical mess, with framerate problems in just about every cinema and on most maps, an animation system that looks like it was ported straight from a PS2 engine, and frequent, inconsistent load times accompanied by visual stuttering as new data loads in.

Although it came from a different developer and used a different engine (Lost Odyssey uses the Unreal Engine 3), Blue Dragon had many of these problems when it made it out to Japan just in time for Christmas last year. I presume Mistwalker and developer Feel Plus were pressured into a release before all the kinks could be worked out.numba1234

Absolutely great point, Disgaea 3 is an utter joke. Its like the devs don't want to make a nice looking game.

Inifinite Undiscovery? It looks better than both Lost Odyssey and White Knight Story. You may want a 360 for that. I don't know why you'd buy a console for 1 game, though. To each his own.

At first, that is what I thought. But then I read a preview where they said it's pretty much like a FF game. Even with a character named "sid" or something like that. That's why I had my hopes up. I still do actually, but gonna wait for reviews from sites.
