IGN - "Mass Effect should win game of the year"

This is actually a littleold but I didn't see any threads about this so I'll post it. On the last Wiik-in-review they were comparing Mario Galaxy to Mass Effect to see which game was better. Jessica on the podcast said that she had put significant time in both games and she thinks that Mass Effect would win game of the year. Obvoiusly we all know that Galaxy was easily an AAA title. That said Mass Effect will probably get AAA.

They mention GOTY again in the last podcast and they still seem to think that it's going to come down to Mario Galaxy or Mass Effect.

I will admit this is a huge game but I wouldnt say ME has GOTY just yet because it still has games out there to go against that have very high scores across the board. Orange Box, Halo 3, Mario Galaxy, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Assassins Creed, Uncharted. There are alot of good games that can win GOTY. I havent played Mass Effect yet but just from watching videos, the game looks stunning graphically but doesnt seem all that amazing gameplay wise. So I think we should all wait until we have played the game and then see from there because right now COD4 is the game im just stuck on.

She's on the Wii review team and she's a Nintendo fan and she's saying that she thinks Mass Effect will win. If anything she should be bias towards the Wii game. I'm not claiming that Mass Effect will win GOTY but I am claiming that it will probably be an AAA title.

Honestly I really want to get this game and a 360 again but I don't want it to break. I've owned 3 360's and they have all broken. Anyone have any sudgestions onhow I can get a 360 that is assured to work? I just don't want to get a broken 360 again.Firelore29

Go to BestBuy and buy the product replacement plan with your 360. Then, if it breaks, just take the thing back in and trade it for a new one. Problem solved.

Go to blockbuster and rent this game and an xbox 360, play it to death for a week, then return it all. Won't cost you 40 bucks.
