"Clocking in at about 7-8 hours on Normal mode for a person that is proficient at first person shooters, there is never a moment that you wish you can simply skip. Every second you will be on the edge of your seat, wondering what the next room will bring, or how will the story pan out. I can only speak for myself in this regard, and no one else. I was more then happy when I finished the single player campaign, both gameplay and story wise. Without a doubt in my mind, this game is a day one purchase for anyone that enjoys video gaming, and with its robust multiplayer that I have yet to touch, will be one of the games in the upper echelon of Xbox 360 title"

not bad but 7-8 hours is the only concern I have but having multiplayer sums it up I guess.

Bungie already said anyone whos even remotely good at Halo should start on Heroic atleast, people are just running htrough it, thats why you are getting 8 hour runs, im sure it will take like 12+ atleastnormally and on better difficulties.

8 hours on normal for a skilled FPSer is pretty much the standard single player legnth of FPS games. With 2-4 player on-line enabled co-op, and exhaustive multiplayer, this might be the best investment of $60 one can make in a game this gen. Endless replay value ftw!

Either way, we shouldn't trust any reviews except the official ones. Until those come out, I'm holding my breath.

Bungie recommends Heroic or Legendary difficulty for players who are familiar with Halo (or most FPS) gameplay. Not only does it change the difficulty but the experience becomes different due to more enemies and better AI.
