Dark Souls may best the console version of Skyrim. But the modding community is what makes the Elder scrolls series great on PC. Give it three months time and there will be more content available to play on Skyrim than was originally shipped in the game.

And also I highly doubt Dark Souls will be better then The Witcher2 (current RPGOTY and GOTY imo)

No ammount of mods can make the core gameplay as amazing as Dark Souls

Content does not matter, it is how it is connected, how the gameplay is and the quality of the content that count

Both are amazing, Dark Souls will destroy Witcher 2 in combat, atmosphere, level design, variety, challenge, fun, bosses and Witcher 2 destroys it in cinematic appeal, story, technical visuals (because art is what matters most), probablly towns etc

The good news is that i get to play both on my xbox 360, so who cares which is best anyway ?

Well since Demon's Souls is better than any other RPG why wouldn't it continue with Dark Souls?!

Because with mods you cant actually change the core gameplay mechanics, only expand on what is already there

Also Oblivion with mods is still nothing like Demons Souls

the reason why I prefer skyrim is because it will not let me throw my control at the wall in anger, instead i will be laughing and having lots of fun. now playing darksouls will cause me to swear and pull the hairs out of my head.

They're different games, no reason to compare them...

Personally I'm hyped for both.

If Dark Souls is anything like Demons Souls in terms of dying and restarting ridiculously far back, it won't eat Skyrim's face. Sure, Demons Souls was a lot of fun to play, until you started to continuously die. It's very unforgiving whereas Skyrim will be extremely casual friendly if it's at all like Oblivion.
