thought it would be around that area. though in my tastes that's underrating.

there's your gow clone. i could see the same score on quantum theory the gears clone. :P

after playing the demo, i expected less .......... 7.5 is actually good.

I didnt expect much from it.
New action games become too much alike nowadays with games like God of War, Devil May Cry, and Ninja Gaiden.
Bayonetta was partly a clone from the look of it, but atleast they did it right apparently.

I've been playing it for some time now and it's a decent hack and slash.

Though not anywhere near GOW, NG and Bayonettas standards. Certainly isn't going to touch GOW3 in any way.

C'mon, 7.5 isn't low at all. For all the bad things everyone's been saying about this game it's a very decent score. May consider a rent.

Im not suprised. I got this game and its average at best.

And I've been looking forward to this game, how sad. Oh well, maybe I'll pick it up somewhere down the road.

Its a blatant rip off of God of War. If you are going to rip off something from another game you need to improve on it not be far behind it in every way.

Judging from the demo, I knew it wouldn't hold a candle to God of War, though I still expected more. Oh well, more money for other games :)

Eurogamer already gave it a 6, so this wasn't surprising. At best it gets an 8 here on gamespot.

If you even knew what you're talking about.

1. In a preview/review of MAG IGN was disappointed due to the fact it was not like MW2. Therefor I found it funny

2. The PC port was lazy as ****, even games from 1999 (Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament) had more customization and online capabilities.

3. Ping is atrocious, along with the amount of hacking, autoaim and along with the horrible, horrible community.

And what the hell I don't hate on games because they're popular, in fact I like the popular hate generator called Halo. I hate games for being mediocre, lazy, buggy and for the developers being complete tools. And so what if it have a good score? Does this mean you'll enjoy it better than games you have enjoyed better? No, that's because we're human beings and as human beings we're not number pressing robots therefor scores are really just a guide to find good games.

Its sold 1.2 million already and plans are underway for a sequel.

Is it me, or is IGN getting really harsh with their reviews as of late?

7.5 Gameplay
The deceptively simple combat controls and out of place challenges makes it derivative instead of a unique action experience that hasn't been seen before.

They gave the gameplay a 7.5 because the combat has been done before and is not a unique action experience. Come on IGN, is the game fun? Look at Darksiders. Great game, but it's been done before. Someone should give the reviewer of Dante's Inferno a lesson on how to review games based on is it a good game and not based on uniqueness.

After reading the review I probably will pick this up sometime in the future. While suffering from being a GOW clone it's managed to do many things right, and the story is intriguing enough to warrant a look.

About to read the review :). I was expecting 8.5-9.0 though... I hope its not THAT much of a cookie cutter action game.TREAL_Since
