[QUOTE="amaneuvering"]Here's a question for anyone that has played the game.
If you ignore things like the presentation and graphics how does this game control and feel compared the likes of Shadow Complex?
Just based on the actual hands on gameplay, not the graphics or the story or the amount of game options etc, but the sheer quality of the games controls and how much fun it is to play through the levels jumping aroudn and blasting things etc, which is more fun?

Shadow Complex and Contra are not that comparable.I really think they are if you look at what I am asking, the quality of the basic run and gun control and gameplay, and just consider that.
If it's easier then compare Super Metroid to Shadow Complex based on just the quality and feel of the controls and the basic run and gun gameplay and tell me what controls and feels better.
I'm just curious if along with upgrading the presentation and graphics and story and all that stuff if these newer games also at least have the controls and basic gameplay to the same high standard as the games from the 16bit era?
I'm just curious because seeing those videos of this new Contra and despite it using much older graphics and stuff it just looks like it would be more fun to actually play because the control just looks so fluid and solid. I would say the same comparing videos of Super Metroid to Shadow Complex but like I say I have not played Shadow Complex so I'm just speculating based on what I have seen.
