Holy crap the entire second page was about technical issues...what was the whole point in waiting for the patch when it's obvious they didn't bother to go back and play the game afterwards...

Pretty much sums up every review..."When it works, the game is fun, and coordinating with your allies can be an engaging battlefield experience. When it doesn't, you want to throw something through your television."

IGN was fair. They gave them 3 weeks to fix something that should've been fixed at most in 1.

That's what I don't get, what technical problems is he referring to now? I understand pop in happens here and there still, sometimes your character will appear holding his gun in an awkward way....but neither of those things I would consider sever...

Also I totally agree on the point that they have "Trophies, the Community Calender, and Award system" mentioned yet none of those things are even in the game at the moment which is total BS.

No you're not alone, go over and check out the user score....everyone is having a lot of fun with the game, heck in the IGN review the guy even mentions the fact that while the game was running smooth for him it was fun....I honestly just think they kept their original review intact and decided just to post that up rather than take the time to change it....

If this was the summer than I can see them taking the time, but were in the busiest time of the year so yea it's understandable for them just to want to post the review and get it over with.

Meh what's done is done, the reviews are obviously not having an effect on the game considering the community just keeps growing and growing....

So much potential for this game to have done great among the critics though....who knows what kind of scores this game could have recieved if everything was flawless from day one.

I know everyone has a different experience in life, so I might've witnessed different things than you, but I don't think either are big flops at all. I thought most Cows knew HAZE was going to flop, and SOCOM: Confrontation was only A-AA. It wasn't as big of a game as Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, or Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots.

Spore on the other hand is the biggest flop I've ever witnessed, in terms of profile.

The moment the game was released and played the talk about "greatest game ever" and what not was never uttered again....that's saying a lot.

Damn, I was thinking of buying this game just to get the headset (which even IGN says is high quality). I might want to rethink that proposition now...

At the end of the day...When you do get into a solid match...(Which is more often now than a week ago).....It is pretty freaking good...

But with that said.....I still get a lot of the same issues the patch was supposed to fix....Lag/disconnects/freezing.....spawning without a gun.... entering a match and yea go right into spectator mode.....The list can go on but it does not matter...all these things suck...because again.... when yea get into a stable match...It shows the potential...and the matches are pretty cool..

I don't completely disagree with the review.......but.... I do look forward to any updates that will make the game more consistent

Wait they say it is still bugged ? While the patch supposedly fixed all major issues, according to the socom community at least.

lol same here, ever since I got my copy I find little to no joy playing COD4 online with friends.
