I have to agree with their assessment of Contra Hard Corps. I never did beat that game the full way through (there are secret ways to beat the game). I made it all the way to the last boss (Colonel Bahamut) with Brownie and got him down to his final form, I think, and he always killed me then. Good GOD that game was hard (like squeezing your nuts hard). Pretty badass overall, but not as good as Contra III on the Super NES.Sorry if old.

dmc3 wasn't that hard.yoshi-lnexYeah. Once you'd powered up it really wasn't all that difficult. Same goes for Ninja Gaiden, though.
ng is way harder than dmc3
lmao IGN.

Agreed. The 1st Megaman was a pain in the #@$%, but I finally beat it when I got older. Contra was hard as hell too, unless you used the cheat code. Smash T.V. was almost impossible to beat unless you had a few dozen quarters.
MegaMan games? Their really easy IMO.Hyper-ChickenWhat?? Even the MegamanX games??? I have my headaches back just thinking about thoses games. lol
How come glitchspot doesnt make fun articles like that??
The most they have done is compare FNR3 on PS3 and X360...
A quick search on YouTube for "hardest game ever" brings up this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nscP9QpXoFM This game makes some of those games on the list look like a walk in the park.DustAmuleto_O Jesus Christ...
"The Mega Man franchise is widely known for its difficulty, and its prolific nature made choosing the most difficult game in the series pretty daunting. If we had to choose, we would nominate the original game, simply because it lacked the later refinements that made the games "easier" (we use that term loosely). In original, you can neither slide nor charge your Mega Buster. The energy tanks that appeared in later games were also lacking, making for frequent deaths. Add to that nigh impossible platforming sequences, lack of a save feature, and ruthless bosses -- all of whom must be defeated twice -- and you have one of the hardest games ever made. This game barely edges out Mega Man Zero as the toughest title in the series to date."
What a bunch of rookies. Megaman 1 wasn't that hard who cares if you couldn't use energy tanks or slides. No game should have the energy tanks PERIOD. Hell I don't even use the special weapons unless I'm just F'ing around I think it makes the game to easy to use Boss weapons. Megaman Zero also isn't that hard what are these guys smoking!? Is Megaman really this hard for everyone? I always found the game kiddy and yes easy. Contra for NES I always found easy too.
How is DMC3 on there, that game was freakin easy, last boss and Beo were the only ones that were semi hard and I still beat Beo in 1 try and last boss in 2.
I never played NGB but I was under the impression and hoping it was harder than DMC3.
MDK2 was a hard one, I remember playing that game.
They should put that LoTR game on the GBA in that list. Not only did individual battles take 10 minutes of mind-rotting monotony to beat, but there was a bug that prevented you from actually completing the game. If that's not tough to beat, I don't know what is.Michael85
Ugh...don't even remind me that I bought that ****. I remember trying to attack something and missing 6 times in a row. :|
Shinobi is so freaking hard. I remember playing that game almost beat it but i quit. and i though NG was harder than DMC3.
