IGN UK: 3/4 editors say Home is useless :(

And Sony never claimed it to be particularly usefull. Its just an alternative to engaging with the PSN community. Nothing more and nothing less.Cedmln

all i wanna do is game and get online and play with friends thats it. mii's avatar's and home dont intrest me one bit.

It's been in the making for years and this is all we get? Seriously? I have little faith in the future of Home. I think Sony will wipe the slate clean over the next year and ditch Home. It's for the best.BioShockOwnz

it is disappointing imo, but you can't compare it to nxe, it's a social network, not a new interface for the console. If you want a comparison to the nxe, use the xmb.

I agree with some of the posters that the mii avatars are all pointless, it's ok sometimes on the wii were they are integrated into some games, but they look so stupid, there is no point using them, a good version of the mii would be if you could take a picture of yourself, and it developed your character, like in tiger woods i think, that way you would want to use yourself in game.

The problem with home is that Sony was more concerned with making money than building a community.

Imagine if they let every trophy count as a sort of currency, which you could use to renovate your house and buy new additions. You know a guy plays a lot of games when they have a mansion type of thing.

Unfortunately, Sony would rather nickel and dime you to death than add a cool feature like this. Which is sad because it would make home more relevant to gamers.
