Place it next to pczones, they are contradictory.
That;s great, but I couldn't care less what they think either.
That's why your in this thread.

Games Master UK: 88
3DJuegos: 79
Edge: 70
IGN UK: 70
PC Gamer UK: 68
This is getting the same fate Shadow of Chernobyl has been facing. Lacks polish and carried a lot of bugs with some other gameplay factors.
Like I said before, love it or hate it.

70% = -100% according to gamers.
I don't consider 70 a good score at all. Maybe it's because I have generally high standards, but I have never played a good game that's scred below a 7.5,and even that's stretching it.
Think of it in terms of school. Recieving a 70 on an exam would be awful. Why is it different when it comes to video games?
70 at my school isn't bad. I attend the University of London.. go figure, anyway you don't consider 70 to be a good score? Cool, I rarely take on reviewer scores unless they all say a game is horrible(I never believe when they all say a game the best thing since slice bread and GTA4 proved that for me), anyway you are just going to miss good games.
I heard of a lot of people hyping this... can someone please explain how this breaks the mold from regular old shooters?(i iz ignorant)TAKE_IT_BACKshooter/rpg type game. has inventory, and other rpg mechanics, but you shoot with a gun. Its pretty difficult too, at least the first was at some points. This one will probably be similar.

No I don't miss good games. I always look at a game and judge for myself. If the game has bad reviews, that's even more of a reason to avoid it.
Considering that I couldn't get into the first Stalker, this will be no different. I'm just surprised they still shipped it with bugs. What is wrong with those guys?

Well then you do certainly have high standards. A big chunk of my favourite games like Hitman, GTA, AoE and about hundred others were scored under 7.5 here. I never look at the score alone, I actually read the reviews and decide whether the cons outweight the pros for me. Strangely I'd say I've been dissapointed by AA+ games more often than below A games.[QUOTE="stepat201"][QUOTE="Kez1984"][QUOTE="mo0ksi"]Okay so so far it's the following:

[QUOTE="flowdee79"]A lot of people here are bashing the reviewer...maybe you should reserve judgement until you have actually played the game.Espada12
They aren't bashing the reviewer per say, more his inconsistence in his review.
Regardless, he's experienced more of the game.

[QUOTE="InsaneBasura"][QUOTE="Verge_6"]Wow, more butt-hurt reviewers complaining about the difficulty. It really makes me question the validity of the rest of the content, but I'll fidn out either way in a few days.Verge_6
Then again since the biggest problem of the reviewer seemed to be the difficulty...

Why do you want the difficulty to be the only thing people criticize? The guy mentions quite a lot of issues. From cheap AI to various poor design choices and silly writing. He liked S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Stop the denial, lower your expectations. From the sounds of things this one is a bit of a cock-up.
Because the first STALKER had pretty much the same things you mentioned, and that didn't stop him from liking it? Sorry, I can't really take the words of someone so inconsistent. And lower my expectations because someone else might have a different opinion about it than I? Hah, and hah again.
You're really in hardcore denial there buddy boy. So you think Clear Sky contains the exact same flaws and he has just suddenly developed a distaste for them? I don't understand your logic there.

You must not have played a lot of games. It's sad to see people who so religiously follow gaming scores, especially when you consider that most reviewers are just plain clueless about the genres and type of games they are talking about.
[QUOTE="EuroMafia"]WIll a PC game flop on GS? Just a matter of time.Pinkyimp

see I saw two things - long moan about difficulty and a bit about bad scripted sequences. I first I don't care and the second worries me, so i will have to play the game to find out how annoying the scripted parts are goign to be
edit : Also, i did say this game could be a big dissapointment

oh yeah!, that game flopped so hard the company went out of business. Diablo clone my ass...
I heard of a lot of people hyping this... can someone please explain how this breaks the mold from regular old shooters?(i iz ignorant)TAKE_IT_BACK
Well the first one was basically modtastic. The gameplay is diverse and unpredictable, the art direction of the game is inspiring too, but overall it's just the mystery of the location it is based that makes me play it.
It also has the best animal AI I have seen in a game.

Apparently, because I seem to recall many of the complaints he had in Shadow of Chernobyl. You don't understand my logic, and I don't understand why you think I should drastically lower my expectations (which you don't know of, by the way) because of someone else's opinion. I will think what I will think when I play the goddamn game, if you so please.

I'm in this thread to voice why I think all these 'it's too hard' complaints these reviewers have are stupid. Also, it's called the First Amendment. ^^
Also, the stalking (lol, pun) and trolling of my posts is getting a biiiit on the creepy side. Might want to tone it down a notch.

this is exactly why you cant take PC gaming seriously. This game was talked about to the high heavens and now its a bust. Give me a break, I actually purchased the first stalker and that was underwhelming as well.
