The only thing which is bothering me a little is all the comments of "this is amazing for a download game!". Have reviewers basically lowered their standards because the game is delivered in a different medium? It's not a $4 arcade puzzle game, and it's not a home-made wii ware title. It's a proper game from a proper developer, owned by Sony, and it costs $20. Just because you buy it on the internet and not in a box does not mean expectations should be lower.
Of course, i haven't played the game myself yet so i'll happily take all of that back when i finally do. It just seems odd to me that reviewers are consistantly saying it's good "for a download game".
Could this be the PS3's first AAAe?Lionheart08
Hopefully so, but expect fanboys to say it doesnt count because it's a download. I remember when Braid and Geometry Wars 2 came out and cows said they didnt count as AAA games, and i warned that that policy would come back to bite them in the ass.
Another good score for wipeout. Has a good chance of AAA here I think. But for once it would be nice for Gamespot to review a game early.

And Cows will claim how Lems went ahead try to count those two games. It's like a never-ending pattern of hypocrisy.

Ninja-Hippo
Technicaly, it's not a 'proper game'. The reason it's only 20$ is because it's actually an enhanced port of the PSP Wipeout. But it does look like they improved it to the point where you wouldn't recognize it from the PSP game. Sweet.

I hadnt thought of that, but you're totally right.
"Lemmings said they count, so they do!"
"Cows said they didnt count, so they dont!"
Do people not realise that you will be forced to apply these rules to yourself one day when you make them up? :P

And if it gets AAAe at gamespot then it still shouldnt count.

Let's see. 8 Tracks, custom soundtracks, trophies, 60 FPS, custom soundtracks, online multiplayer, splitscreen MP. A lot of people, like me, expected this to be in the $30 to $40 range like Warhawk, which also has these same features.

Why would it bite us ? If we get 1 , then lems get 2. If we get none , lems get none. I would rather be even than down 1.[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]Could this be the PS3's first AAAe?Ninja-Hippo

Well it depends, does this come out before LBP? If it does then yeah I guess it could be the 1st AAAE game
Still I don't think people count downloadable games :(
It's from IGN UK and got a 9.2, to save people a click.Ninja-HippoLol thanks. My internet is playing up and is extremely slow so it would take like 5 minutes too load :x

Me and Hippo already predicted it, there will be a huge battle between cows and lems over this if it gets a AAA. :P

Yeah but If I was a cow then I would keep it the way it is as I would rather have no AAAE's then have 1 but then add like 5 AAAE's to the 360s library

so trueAnother sweet looking game for the PS3. Glad to see that the PS3's list of good games is growing. I hope Fat Princess delivers. It looks so funny and fun.FumpaFat Princess? I've largely been ignoring that one for some time now. Any reason why it should at least be on my radar?
I did not liked the demo, kind of reminded me of F-Zero mixed with some SMK extras. Well, for 20 bucks we will see. kenshinhimura10
There's a demo for this?

I better check out a few trailers then.Yes I totally see the reasoning on not letting this title be considered as a real game, but just some arcade downloadable game. Never mind 1080p, 60fps, 8 tracks and reversible tracks for 16 total. 8 player online racing, DD5.1. Dang near sounds like most retail games if you ask me lol. But we'll keep it fair I guess since xbLm can't have but so big of a file size for their games lol. Aren't MS the big DD king supposeably?

Not at all. Microsoft do an awful lot of digital distribution through the Xbox Live arcade and their film service. There are new arcade games added every single week.
Sony seem to prefer to release much, much less content, but bigger, more fleshed out, more retail-like games. Just a case of two different strategies.
Siren: Blood Curse (all of it) doesn't count as a true game cause it needs to be downloaded.nervmeister
It also comes on a Blu Ray retail disk

Sweet.Exclusive to Asia regions. This doesn't stop us from importing it : PS3 titles aren't region-locked ^_^.

Had i not been dumb enough to buy all the instruments on the 360, which is region locked, i could be enjoying Rock Band 2 next week. >_>
