Just in, L4d2 got a 9.0 at ign. But xbox users in the graphics dept will have framerate issues. is this a sign, that the 360 is maxed out?

As much of a sign of the PS3 being maxed out by Fallout 3. Not at all. It has more to do with the dev's optimization of what each console can do.Just in, L4d2 got a 9.0 at ign. But xbox users in the graphics dept will have framerate issues. is this a sign, that the 360 is maxed out?

If you don't have an UBER gaming PC like many Lemmings and Cows seem to have here, the only place to get L4D2 is on 360.
I'm sure they will overlook that slowdown and just enjoy the game.

It is a bloody source mod, it doesn't take that much of a PC to run

Yeah true. PC's that were good 4 years ago can still run it smoothly. If you don't have an UBER gaming PC like many Lemmings and Cows seem to have here, the only place to get L4D2 is on 360.

I respect you and you're always a sensible poster but in the case of L4D2 you'll be able to play it with much less than an ubar pc.
My GTX285 maxes it completely (no suprize there) even with 16xQ AA (that's normally a fine way to kill any "new" game).

You are right, L4D isn't even close to a "Bar" setter, but I'm just trying to point out that at least Valve bothered at all with a console version.
I'm sure most current Labtops could run this puppy though, as it's using the old Source Engine, right?

you are correct about it being Source Engine and I shall take your point to heart. At least they did release it for a console.
This is why you don't buy the 360 version. Get the much better PC one.rcignoni
And with Assassin's Creed 2. Don't get the PS3 version get ther much better 360 version.

That's the spirit....of course, all things considered, I suppose having a *ahem* relatively average PC is probably the best option, due to free Mods, Lack of annual service price to play online, and Steam community.
That pretty fair? :P
i don't know, is the massive amount of screen tearing and slower framrate on assasins creed 2 an indication that the ps3 is maxed out?delta3074Yeah I guess L4D2 is one step foward then two steps back then? I mean L4D didn't have any slow downs.

Do you have a clue on what peer 2 peer is? Only games like RTS, fighters and sports use that network setup not shooters.

If reviewers didnt notice this they must of played some superior version of the game on the 360 though im sure that all versions are the same.

valve maxing out 360? with L4D 2? are you serious?also i didnt notice these framerate issues in the demo

Might try it on a PC next year as im gonna build my own rig hopefully.
Most probably a memory issue tbh, as its not as if the source engine is that difficult to render.skrat_01
or maybe valve is just too lazy and cant optimize for console...which also explains why they are scared of ps3.

Yeah my 2 year old lap top can run L4D2. I could dust off my 5 year old PC and run it too. Source mods are not gunna kill your PC.

Yes, 360 is maxed out on the Source Engine.
Lulz.
AC2 is better on 360. I guess PS3 is maxed out.

This just proves how biased you are. Massive amounts of screen tearing and slower framerate? Were is that in the gamespot review?
I don't even remember L4D having slowdown issue, maybe i just didn't notice. Oh well it won't stop me from enjoying L4D2.
Hmmm...Ps3 had massive frame rate issues with Fallout 3, among many other games....Does that mean it's maxed out? And I find it funny that you, of all people, are calling someone biased. There's about 5% more screen tearing, and they had to use an analyzer to decipher the difference. Now if you had superhuman eyesight maybe you can tell the difference.
