Actually, the name "Snake Eater" is a real name, it refers to the Army special forces training program, aka the Green Berets, especially the "Wilderness Survival" school where they teachs you which wild life is edible and which isn't. One of the "main course" during this school are...you gussed it, snakes. This is why every special forces soilder is also known as a "Snake Eater" cause there's an saying that, "If you went the wilderness survival school and didn't eat any snakes, then you didn't went through the school, much less a special forces soilder!"
