Im actually wondering if AAA MGS4 is even possible

The graphics are horrible and you know this game will lose points in that area. Games with poor graphics are forgiven for the Wii but we expect so much more from our friendly neighborhood "super computer."

Definitely think the graphics are 2-D, flat, and lackluster and think that will take points away from it's score.

The thing that will hold MGS4 back from being AAA is the fact that the online doesn't come with the game and because it will be LOADED with cut scenes.

good character models + metal gear online included = good game, mgs4 comes with mgo starter pack and the graphics arent bad, there an art style (ie the tinted color)

Wrong. The game includes MGO with five maps. More maps will be available via DLC. Besides, didn't Bioshock get a 9.0?

The graphics seem far from Horrible. I really hope the whole game does not look washed out like the demo video. Everything was a different shade of beige.

no it comes with mgs4 and more content will be released as DLC...maybe free maybe for money.

hell no, bioschock was an incredible game on 360 and pc, but 5.6 does seem a little low for a ps3 launch title

No. It comes packed in with MGS4. It's planned to have a several year life span via DLC.

Look at how much the Halo series changed, doesn't stop it from being bad. Fallout and Diablo are both still great games.

Eh? MGS4 has great graphics considering the gameplay... originally I was skeptical of MGS4 getting AAA because it doesn't have enough mainstream appeal and/or polish, but I think that if SSBB can get a 9.5, it definitely has a shot.Funkyhamster

I'm not saying it'll get a 9.5; I think if anything it'll only be able to get a 9.0. Look at COD4 for a precedent - it had an extremely short single player game, and not many extra features ala Halo 3, but the innate quality was enough to get it the 9.0.

im not saying the game changes. im saying that the rating goes down assuming the game stays the same. for example if resistance came out today it might be an 8.0 instead of 8.5 this is because as time goes on new precedents are set and factored into the rating.

Yep, you're right. I think FF is starting to become pretty bland though. I wont be getting to play the next one though so maybe it'll turn out better than the past two.
