I'm buying - Xbox 360 or Wii?

I've been wondering which system would be better for me, I'm mainly a PC Game player, but I wanna get a Console so I can get some cool multiplayer games when I have my friends over.

I've been leaning towards a 360, but thats mostly because EVERYONE has been telling me to get one, also, I wouldn't mind getting Rock Band and Guitar Hero... but the Price of the Xbox is really what sets me back, if I get an Xbox I definitely won't be getting the Arcade, Ither the Pro or the Elite if I am convinced enough to dish out the money for it.

Wii has more games that you wouldnt find on a PC than the 360. Many 360 titles are on the PC anyway.

But i would just suggest looking at a games list for both. Games are ultimately going to decide which one you want.

If you already game on a PC you should just get a WiiCouth_

anyway, as i always say in these threads, play them yourself, whether at a relative's house, friend's house, or even bext buy. then be the judge on which you like more

Get the 360. It has alot more games to choose from. The Wii has a whole lot of party games (that's what the system is for). But there are some good titles to get for it, but the online is completely terrible....

I would get the 360 if it were me.

If you pride yourself as being a video game fan, get the Wii. It has the most AAAE titles so far this generation, which is what really matters. HD is nice, but if there aren't as many good games, it's more icing than it is cake.JAB991

Same can be said for any platform.

You can wait around for PC ports of games like Fable 2 but I want to play it on the 360 first.

Plus the 360 has my fav. new IP this gen, dead Rising,

I like my ps3 but 360 has more games this year IMO.

ANd if you do have an HDTV and 5.1 sound I would avoid the Wii. It is still using pro logic. Both the Xbox and ps2 supported 5.1. The sound for the Wii is even more out dated then the visuals.

Last I checked, Wii had more AAAE games. That literally means it has more, and better games. Does the 360 have the second best reviewed game of all time and the first best reviewed game available for download?

even IF it does, doesn't mean anything to him if he doesn't like those kind of games

i have both, i would gladly sell my wii to get another 360 if my current one ever goes out

You should get the Wii. It has Guitar Hero out now and Rock Band is coming soon. It gives you the opportunity to play awsome games from the NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, Genesis and a few other systems plus the Wii has some excellent games out now such as Galaxy, Twighlight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Corruption, Zack & Wiki, Brawl, etc...

The most important thing to remember though is you can buy pretty much all of the 360's "exclusives" and play them on your PC with a 360 controller. Now that is some cool sh** if you ask me.

I'm getting the AAAE count from GameSpot.

Wii has: Warioware Smooth Moves, Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, and Super Smash Bros

2 of those are multiplayer.

Unless you absolutely NEED to play Mario/Zelda, then there's absolutely no reason to purchase a Wii over a 360, or even a PS3.Uptown

I love how a lot of people are ignoring the fact that he is "mainly a PC Game player). He also mentioned that he's looking for multiplayer games that he can play with his FRIENDS. The Wii is the obviously choice here. Many good games on the Xbox 360 are also on the PC (Mass Effect, Gears of War, Bioshock, etc.)

The Wii and PC share almost no games in common. The Wii doesn't have very good online, but it is a lot of fun with your friends (especially games like Wii Sports and Super Smash Bros Brawl)
