I'm So Sick of 360 getting games before PS3, now it's Two Worlds 2

So as we all know or thought the release date for Two Worlds 2 is today, or last night if anyone went to the midnight launch, well that's only for 360 owners.

I live in New York where the temp was like 10 degrees last night, and going by Gamestop's website and there employee from 2 days ago, Two Worlds 2 and guide were supposed to be released as of midnight 1/25/11.

I went out in the freezing cold last night when i'm normally in bed fast asleep, i waited on a long line with like 20 people in front of me, who were mostly getting Dead Space 2, and before you guys suggest it, i didn't like Dead Space 1 so i'm not getting the second one.

Anyway i finally get up to the register and ask for Two Worlds 2 for PS3 and the strategy guide, she checks the computer and she doesn't have either, and when i asked why she said that she only had the 360 version because there were no reserves on the PS3 version.

So i stormed out of there and went home, called another gamestop doing the midnight launch only to find out that the PS3 version has been delayed until Feb 2nd.

Which is complete and utter B.S., i will never understand this, the PS3 has been out for almost 5 years, you mean to tell me dev's have not mastered the dev kits yet ?

Bull, they've had plenty of time, even if if the PS3 version had a few glitches, release it with some patches, because i guarantee you one weeks time is not going to make the PS3 version flawless by any means.

A delay of only few days is almost certainly NOT an issue with the devs.

The code is final LONG before the games goes to distribution. This is probably an issue with distribution/shipping, IMHO.

Perhaps you should make a phone call before trudging out in almost negative number temperatures.

Last gen it was Xbox gamers saying the same thing. :P Hey, at least your getting the games.

I finished this game last year on PC. Its much, MUCH better than the first one was.

I dont get why you would need games other than Uncharted 2 ? This is the best game created ever, so why bother with anything else ?

Let 360 get Two Worlds 2 first, who cares, just play Uncharted 2 that is the best game on earth than wait for it at all

It's out in EU pretty long now, if you really can't wait a week you should have just imported it oO Anyway, I have it and it's a bit below average, nothing to be really hyped about

You should actually be blaming Sony for making a system harder to develop for. A lot of PC devs easily port their games over to 360 because the design is similar. PS3 gets left out because smaller PC devs don't want to bother with the coding. Hence no Risen, I believe Gothic 4 was delayed as well for Ps3 and a few other games.smerlus

There isn't a single game I have wanted that has come out on 360 before PS3. Sux if that happened to you, but it's not exactly a widespread issue.-ArchAngeL-777-

i have friends that work at gamestop and the way they say it works is that when a game sells the auto inventory scheduals that store to get another one sent in to replace it.

if none sell none get sent in to maintain the inventory.

Let me see if I got this right. You stormed out of a midnight launch for a hugely anticipated game which is Dead Space 2 for a niche sequel to a crappy game that nobody but you has any interest in? Why the hell would go to a Dead Space 2 midnight launch to pick up Two Worlds 2 anyway? If you're so mad about it, get an xbox 360 and play the games on time.

I had the PS3 version pre-ordered and got the text yesterday saying that it would be available this afternoon. I called the store this morning and they already had the 360 version of the game in, so I went ahead and picked it up instead and got Dead Space 2 as well. That is one of the benefits of owning both systems.

Anyway, If it is indeed delayed until Feb 2nd, then that is quite shady, but not surprising when it comes to SouthPeak. I am just glad I got the game period at this point. I played the first one on the 360 anyway, so it is actually quite fitting.

They had some major problems with the European PS3 launch. It missed its November release and the publisher was very mad at Sony - they had already paid Sony for the discs, but they weren't allowed to choose a printing plant. Rumour is Sony sacrificed TW2 to print GT5 instead.

PC version was delayed too. But the PS3 version is supposedly vastly inferior to the 360 version... like possibly bayonetta level or worse.

Getting my 360 version in the mail today. Didnt feel like waiting for the PC version... and im hoping there will be fewer cheaters online.... since I doubt the character data is stored server side like diablo2.

if you read the ps3 forums for TW2 alot of people had issues with gamestop not getting PS3 copies in on time. It wasnt an official delay... just alot of retailers didnt get the game on time.
