I've read the few reviews on it and so far it sounds like a Very short single player campaign, maybe 5 hours. Heavenly sword was great while it lasted but a mere 4 and a half to 5 hours. with no multiplayer that i remember, thankfully that was only a rental.

As far as Halo 3 ODST, it Will have multiplayer and 3 new maps that can only be played on if you own the game, i do play Halo 3 online Alot and enjoy it, so the firefight mode and the new maps may be the deciding factor, but still i may wait for Gamespots or Gametrailers reviews before i decide, if i decide Not to get it there's still plenty of fun to be had in old halo 3.

Plus less then 2 months time, Call of duty ,modern warfare 2! Uncharted 2, Tekken 6 and some others, now with the titles on the horizon, that makes Halo 3 ODST not look too bright...

Anyways, my gamertag is Jase8793

Feel free to add me and also for PS3 it's MarvelHu1k

You'd better decide now or you'll never get the chance to play it.

Halo ODST is just another generic FPS judging by the looks, other than the mass marketed name there is absolutely nothing special about it. If I were you I'd get something else, I see you own both a Ps3 and a 360 so there's plenty of games to chose from this fall.

just take into consideration that you have read 1 review from a public wiki, 1 from a wiicentric site, and 1 from a site that has only done 4 reviews and been running for just 2 months. do what you said, wait for gamespot and stuff like that.

Well i may decide to Rent instead of buy, i do that more often then not , well that or try the demo's online. with halo 3 ODST likely there never will be a demo and it's Very similar to older halo titles, i guess in the next few days we'll see if 1up, Gamespot and or Gametrailers post a review.

I also own a Wii, but other then Mario Kart for the Wii there isn't much else to play online, that is pretty fun online, somewhat mindless but enjoyable more then i care to admit lol. Speaking of Wii , if i had to choose between Halo 3 ODST Or, Muramasa the demon blade for the Wii, i would easily choose Muramasa, Art style is incredible , sadly it's strictly single player.

You couldn't have read any reviews, the embargo isn't up. the only one was 1up for like 5 minutes, but they took it down.

I'm on the fence a little too, but I think I'm just gonna go for it. There are some incentives I can get from pre-ordering the game that are too good to pass up really.

Everyone keeps forgetting another pro:

-The beta to playing Halo: Reach.

Anyways, if you loved Halo, I'm guessing (by the looks) that you should enjoy it.

Only you can decide for yourself. No one cares if you get the game or not to be quite honest.

Why do you think that? I'm sure a Halo fan will get more than his money's worth from ODST with FireFight, new maps and armor, beta, brand new full-length campaign with up to 4-player co-op, and a Reach beta,

You didn't read what I said apparently. What I'm saying is that ODST is the same idea. How is ODST an expansion pack? It's a full campaign (4 player campaign may I add) and multiplayer.

there's no extra multiplayer features besides 3 maps. and you get a deathmatch mode. bursting with value.

Neither does yours. How is ODST an expansion pack? Expansions are things that are essentially more levels to the same game. ODST is anything but and the most radical depature that the halo series has taken yet.

Umm.... does firefight not count? You know, a whole new mode? You know, with maps specifically made for it, etc. You know, campaign, versus, firefight. You know, a new multiplayer mode. You know, not 3 maps, not a new gametype. You know?

You guys seem to just be blindly rejecting what ODST is. Hello! There's a huge difference between a new gametype and a whole new game mode. And umm... sir.... campaign. We can sort of have a game with campaign being the meat of it. For example, ironically, Uncharted 1.

read my above post. the only new feature is a campaign. i recall buying plenty of expansions that offered much more than just a campaign and a lame deathmatch mode.

How is ODST not a full game? What sets it apart from say Uncharted 1 to 2? Because I've bought plenty of expansions that offered more than just a campaign and new lame multiplayer mode like Uncharted is doing.

I want a real answer: What expansion ahs ever offered a game that didn't even follow the same structure as the game it's expanding on? ODST is, you know, open world.

Honestly now, especially considering you're defending Uncharted, this is irony at its best.

It's going to have a fun single player, with lots to do after you're done (replay it in co-op, higher difficulties, just explore the city and find hidden goodies, the city is BIG) Firefight is going to be AWESOME co-op fun. You get all the multiplayer maps (24 total) You get to play the Halo Reach beta! BUY IT MEOWWWWWWWW!!! lol
