recently my xbox 360 broke E74 one red light. this is going to be my third xbox once i send it in and get it back. I'm thinking about selling it for money for a ps3. so anything any ideas on getting it don't get it?
I'd assume you still have games for your 360 so I would just stick with the 360 :? It wouldn't make sense to get a brand new console and start all over again. Maybe in the long run get a PS3, but don't spend so much money right now unless you absolutely have to.
it depends on you and your taste the only thing I can tell you is if you buy a PS 3 and try the games like MGS 4, Uncharted and Little Big Planet you won't be disapointed it's a hell of a machine.
EDIT: Also, I wouldn't sell any systems. A prime example from me is my Dreamcast. I really regret selling that :(

I don't regret having the PS3 one bit, it's a good system with some really good games out right now, with more to come on the way. If you want a reliable system than go for it.

What he says....but don't sell your360. Get it repaired and keep it. Save your money for the PS3 or you may regret it in the end.

Oh geez. Don't sell your Xbox. Just buy the PS3 seperately if you want to.

Well, at first I thought the 360 was getting more reliable with the Jasper unit, but then I heard about the new E74 or whatever it's called problem.
You should definitely procure a 360 again, but maybe you should buy a PS3 for now and then when the 360 is more reliable you can pick it up again and go back to play any of the old 360 games you might miss.
If you get another 360, it will break. You know this already. No guarantees about the ps3 but its certainly a lot more reliable.
Just look at the features the ps3 has, look at the games, maybe check one out at a friends. If you like blue ray, that makes the decision easy. I personally will try to avoid buying anymore microsoft products for a long time.
You can join the growing group of former broken xbox owners who got fed up with their disposable consoles (myself included).

If you have a gaming rig, one thing to consider is that most of the xbox exclusives will make their way to the pc. Ps3's wont. The only thing I'll miss on the xbox is mass effect 2. By then, hopefully my pc will be beefed up.
