Hmmm...I also believe that the revision willl have two analog sticks and a much better battery life. Nintendo clearly rushed this thing. I am also thinking about getting rid of mine but I am not sure if I should get rid of it now or wait to see if they have a special trade in offer when the new one comes out.
I always knew there would be a 3ds lite, but not with different control! This is a slutty for who bought the first model! Who wont a second analog already will buy the VITA, that has this from the initial concept! They will release a revision.Just don't expect it to be around the corner.

Yeah I'm thinking about not purchasing one this week like I planned. The funny thing is that Nintendo ALWAYS does this. They release a fat bizarre looking system and then completely perfect the design and sell it for more. They did it with Gameboy to Gameboy Color, they did it with GBA to SP, they did it with DS to DS Lite and for good measures went to DSi. Now they think they've got it perfect and...oops forgot the second analog.
forgive me, but buy a 3DS this year seems a tremendously stupidity! better wait to see if there will be a revision with new controls, including more buttons ,how suggests the adapter.Yeah I'm thinking about not purchasing one this week like I planned. Well, if you're big on graphics and want dual analogs without the need for any add-ons you probably should sell your 3DS and wait for the Vita.
I do not care much for graphics, though the VITA seemed much better (technically I not know anything about these consoles). I only do not expect it to be so much better than 3ds. The biggest problem is to change the controls of the 3DS after it was launched! IF the 3DS lite have 1 analog no problem.Well, if you're big on graphics and want dual analogs without the need for any add-ons you probably should sell your 3DS and wait for the Vita.

Well in that case I think you don't have to panic because that analog stick add-on won't be required to play new 3DS games (or atleast I heard so).
There's going to be manby great games coming out for it in the future, some of which will be out around Christmas time. But it's your choice.
I'm thinking selling my 3DS, I had given up after the price drop, because I will losing too much money, after all I paid 250 us, But now, with the second analog adaptor, I think is clean that Nintendo will release a revision of 3DS with 2 analogs. What the problem? The problem is that will turn the old 3DS in a absolete trash. I'm not intend to buy that hoorible adaptor for my sexy 3DS, and if is to buy a second 3DS only because a 2nd analog, I prefer to buy a VITA, that be conceived from the very beginer with 2 analogs. I have Street Fighter 4 for 3DS, and the game is very nice, but, when I see Street vsTekken on VITA, he seems much better visually! You think that nintendo will turn their back to us (embassadors or (idiots) lol) launching a new model with 2 analogs? Or that adapter will be always optional?Outerspace_BR

hope so! Because if Nintendo (that I love) wants me to buy another portable because he forgot how to make controls, I'll buy the VITA!I agreeAlso I'm pretty sure the touchscreen can act as a second analong which is pretty much always used to control the camera.

a terrible replacement for a system designed to held with two hands. Also I'm pretty sure the touchscreen can act as a second analong which is pretty much always used to control the camera.

[QUOTE="volchcha"]a terrible replacement for a system designed to held with two hands. But now is too late to put a second analog, agree? It's the end of time Nintendo copying Sony :( . 3DS it's OK how it is! without this horrible adapter. Also I'm pretty sure the touchscreen can act as a second analong which is pretty much always used to control the camera.

Trust me, if you could get used to using the claw in monster hunter, you can get used to using the touchscreen. it's not the best method, but it's alrightAlso I'm pretty sure the touchscreen can act as a second analong which is pretty much always used to control the camera.

Well thats my philosophy anyways so i don't really care if I have a wii as my gaming console or the ps3
PC is to work not to PLAY, videogame IS THE WAY to play FOR ME... HALO 3 is better than all FPS from PC Uncharted is the best TPS EVER Mario is the best platform game also...hah if you're concerned about visuals when gaming then get a gaming pc, otherwise it doesn't matter what console you get, their all trash compared to the PC. sorry bro, PC is in the next dimension compared to consoles, you can't even compare on crappy consoles. It doesn't matter if you want to sell the 3DS to get the ps vita, they both have garbage graphics compared to my PC, so get whichever handheld you want, but make sure you get it for the games you like to play and not the graphics.
Why did you buy one in the first place is my first question. KC_Hokiebecause I really like the nintendo, but that this 3ds doing badly so far!
I'm waiting until the dual-stick refresh before I buy one. Or who knows, I might get the Vita first.
[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]Why did you buy one in the first place is my first question. Outerspace_BRbecause I really like the nintendo, but that this 3ds doing badly so far!Well look at the future line-up. If it interest you then I would keep the system. Just gotta have patience. :P
I am in a similar boat as you TC. This whole thing has left a sour taste around nintendo for me. A price cut that soon is a huge slap in the face. A second analog now? We all knew that the 3DS should have one since the day it was first announced and some of us hoped for a redesign before launch. I don't necessarily think it needs one but this shows that devs certainly want it, some games are supporting it, and so this whole thing will just drag down the 3DS for years to come.
If there is a redesign with a second analog, the only action that would make me feel good about nintendo is if they let us trade in our old one, even just for some credit towards the new model. That would be some 'above and beyond' that would show that they care about their most devoted customers.
Also, I love how people compare this possible redesign to the DSphat vs. DSlite. This is completely different! DSphat still had every ability that the DSlite did. This new analog opens the door to a dev releasing a game that requires the second analog. They would only be spitting on the first wave of customers. Nevermind that we first adopters are their most loyal customers. How much can they take advantage of us like this? I feel they owe me.
You'll regret it as soon as SM3DL (or is it SML3D? I can't remember :P) releases. I always suggest never to sell systems because one will probably end up regretting it sometime down the road.
keep it and trade it in towards the new model seems logical to me. You should have known there was going to be a revision look at every nintendo handheld in the past, GB, GB pocket, GB color, GBA etc etc. I purchased the 3DS at 250 knowing this, have i had fun with it yes am i dissapointed yes but it will pick up, im still going to keep though and trade it in towards the new model
Like i said, this is not like any revision before it. This is much much worse. Let's not forget the sheer amount of game cancellations that went on after launch too. Were those lies?keep it and trade it in towards the new model seems logical to me. I will not buy the adapter, do not put that ridiculous thing in my 3DS ... would be ashamed to use it on the street.I think you'd regret it. There's too many good games on the way. Most will be fine with the 3DS controls as they are, and if youreallyfelt one or two would benefit greatly from a second analog stick, you could always get the add-on.

I don't plan to buy it either and I do like how nice and compact the 3DS is. On the other hand, if I decide to get something like RE: Revelations and it seems an extra stick would be a lot better, I might just get the add-on just for playing at home. Just saying the option is there, and IF they bring out a revised 3DS with it built in, it's bound to be bigger than the 3DS you've got now.
Well, if you're going to buy the revision eventually, then it's better to sell it now.
Once Ninty announces a revision, your market price for the original 3DS will fall.
I would not hesitate in a second to sell my 3DS. I already did. It is a junk system, get rid of it while you still can. You already know Vita will be 100 times better than the 3DS. You wont ever regret selling it, even at a loss. Once you have Vita, you will never even think about Nintendo's dead-end/bad idea handheld. You will look back in time and laugh at yourself for ever buying the 3DS, slap your head and say out loud " what the hell was i thinking?"

Dont sell it now so long as you still have interest in the games. Play it. Enjoy it. then when the redesign comes trade it towards the redesign, just suck up the extra couple of bucks you will have to pay, and continue having fun with the library of 3DS games you have already enjoyed and accumulated by then
