Took care of my 360 and after 2 years I finally got the rrod. Im on my refurb one now and it has been working good so far. Just make sure you keep it well ventilated.. every 3 months seems like a bit much.nooblet69
And if this is actually a consistent cycle, it is undoubtedly the fault of the user.
I've had mine for 2 years. Just got RRoD today for the first time. Called MS and they are shipping the box for repairs. I could care less. 3 Weeks without a 360 isn't the end of the world.
It seems quite improbably that people go a year before they get RRoD's yet you have one every 3 months. Do you store your 360 on a radiator? Probably...
Ridiculous how some people's reply to someone's 360 breaking still is "user error".
I have my 360 for over a year, no problems for me,take care of your stuffs.-wii60-
$1 billion. Deny moar.
Start taking care of your purchases. If its breaking on you every three months, its due to you.Verge_6
Guess you missed the part where he said he has a launch Wii and PS3.

lol lemmings..I think its just luck its not about how u take care of it. My bestfreind has his 360 on the carpet in his room and hes had his since oct 2006. My other freind has his on wooden floor next his tv and it broke 2 times. However his is a launch 360.

Yes. Thank you. Of course mistreating your 360 might shorten its life expectancy, but if you get a lemon it will eventually break no matter what.
I feel sorry for you TC. Mention a broken 360 and they'll always blame it on the user rather than MS. I guess it's due to user error that MS has to shell out $1 billion for the RROD.Zhengi
No, that's because of the cows and their fabricated stories.
I guess myself and about 6 people on my friends list all abuse our systems....
They send you refurbish hardware. Which they only patch the defect. Is it any surprise that they fail again? Mine started failing after 3 months(my second, ie refurbished). Haven't played my current one lately, though it seems to get cache up, and bogged down more often.
Bright side is that at least MS is taking care of most of it's users.
Btw where is my free arcade game? Haven't heard anything about it.

So fabricated stories have cost MS $1 billion to repair the RRODs? Got it.
Wow.. that's just bad luck O.o
Most of the 360 problems aren't actually the user's fault (unless it's an abusive user that deliberately mistreats their console). There's actually several design flaws in the 360's hardware which contribute to problems such as the 3RLoD.
But every 3 months... You musta gotten the pick of the bunch O.o
I dont think you people understand what Im saying,,,,I dont abuse my stuff. I have a launch dreamcast, a launch xbox and gamecube and a twenty + year old nintendo, atari jaguar, hell even an Atari 2600 that all work perfect. I control the dust in my house ( hepa filters ), and my 360 is well ventilated on a glass open air component stand, the same stand my functioning wii and ps3 are sitting on. Im am doing nothing to cause the hardware failure. Psychotic_360I have had my 360 for about two years and have no problems yet, but i know people i work with that have had to send theirs away. I don't believe you are doing anything wrong. If you had to do anything special to look after your 360 then microsoft should have included the necessary instructions in bold writing or the necessary equipment to keep it from overheating. But they don't so it is a microsoft error
