I love my 360, dont get me wrong, Im just tired of the damn thing breaking every 3 months. I have a launch ps3 and a launch wii......no problems. Im on my 5th 360, Ive always considered myself as an unbiased casual gamer, but MS is starting to turn me off of thier console. I always bought the 360 version of multiconsole games, because I prefered the controller, xbox live and achievement points, but if im always sending the GD console off every three months theres no point. Any one else on there 5+ 360 feel the same way?

Broken hearts, broken bones, and broken spirits happen more often than broken 360's. Maybe we should recall the human race and let nature have her planet back.

I took care of my 360 really good. Kept it in a well ventilated area and even stacked to pieces of metal under the side so air could get out to from the bottom and mine still broke. Now I play what cows like to play. The waiting game.

Theres no denying that microsoft has had some big problems with there 360 hardware.Mine red ringed a few months ago but it wasnt to bad because ive had mine since launch.Anyways i can understand how someone could get frustrated, especially if youve had to send yours off more than once.Theres no excuse for having a console break on u more than once.Hopefully they have this problem under contol with the newer 360s.I love my 360 and it is agrevating wanting to play the thing and not being able to or fearing that it could break at any time.I have all three of the new consoles and even with the problems the 360 has had hardware wise i still prefer it over the others.Hopefully they have this worked out.

Me too, it has the best games IMO, but my second 360's disc drive is pretty much shot. My first one RRoD, it is frustrating to say the least.

And if this is actually a consistent cycle, it is undoubtedly the fault of the user.

I've had mine for 2 years. Just got RRoD today for the first time. Called MS and they are shipping the box for repairs. I could care less. 3 Weeks without a 360 isn't the end of the world.

It seems quite improbably that people go a year before they get RRoD's yet you have one every 3 months. Do you store your 360 on a radiator? Probably...

Ridiculous how some people's reply to someone's 360 breaking still is "user error".

Had my 360 for a year and it is still going strong. Maybe because I have the Elite. I personally know no one who has had problems with their 360, but that is just my circle ofacquaintances.

I feel sorry for you TC. Mention a broken 360 and they'll always blame it on the user rather than MS. I guess it's due to user error that MS has to shell out $1 billion for the RROD.

Lets face it, if your console is defective you will eventually get RROD no matter how you treat your 360.

Yes. Thank you. Of course mistreating your 360 might shorten its life expectancy, but if you get a lemon it will eventually break no matter what.

No, that's because of the cows and their fabricated stories.

I guess myself and about 6 people on my friends list all abuse our systems....

They send you refurbish hardware. Which they only patch the defect. Is it any surprise that they fail again? Mine started failing after 3 months(my second, ie refurbished). Haven't played my current one lately, though it seems to get cache up, and bogged down more often.

Bright side is that at least MS is taking care of most of it's users.

Btw where is my free arcade game? Haven't heard anything about it.

To all the people telling the TC to take better care of his hardware: you do know the RROD is an internal heating issue that has nothing to do with how well a customer takes care of his system, right? As long as he keeps the system well ventilated and properly exposed to air, there's nothing else he can do.

No, that's because of the cows and their fabricated stories.

So fabricated stories have cost MS $1 billion to repair the RRODs? Got it.

This would only be relevent if he said 360s have 100% failure rate. Because yours works and his doesnt means absolutley nothing.

I dont think you people understand what Im saying,,,,I dont abuse my stuff. I have a launch dreamcast, a launch xbox and gamecube and a twenty + year old nintendo, atari jaguar, hell even an Atari 2600 that all work perfect. I control the dust in my house ( hepa filters ), and my 360 is well ventilated on a glass open air component stand, the same stand my functioning wii and ps3 are sitting on. Im am doing nothing to cause the hardware failure.

Wow.. that's just bad luck O.o

Most of the 360 problems aren't actually the user's fault (unless it's an abusive user that deliberately mistreats their console). There's actually several design flaws in the 360's hardware which contribute to problems such as the 3RLoD.

But every 3 months... You musta gotten the pick of the bunch O.o

The people in this thread saying 'take care of your purchases' as if it was the fault of the user is either the funniest or saddest thing I've ever seen in my life. I have never, ever, seen such blind fanboyism - especially in the face of something so... crap.

I have had my 360 for about two years and have no problems yet, but i know people i work with that have had to send theirs away. I don't believe you are doing anything wrong. If you had to do anything special to look after your 360 then microsoft should have included the necessary instructions in bold writing or the necessary equipment to keep it from overheating. But they don't so it is a microsoft error
