I would love to see a version of Final Fantasy XII on the DS that uses a similar graphics engine and input method to Final Fantasy III on the DS but still retains the basic plot, characters, gambit system and non-random enemies from Final Fantasy XII.

How cool would that be!

Or maybe even a new DS specific Final Fantasy game that incorporates these new features and improvements to the basic Final Fantasy design structure.

Does anyone agree?

It would look better on the PSP sure but I don't have a PSP and maybe neither do many of the other 34+ million DS owners out there. I don't own a PS2 either and I don't want to buy one to play Final Fantasy XII.

Since I do own a DS however and since it is currently the fastest selling games machine out there, by a long shot, then I think putting the game on that platform aint such a silly idea, especially when Final Fantasy III was so well recieved and worked brilliantly.

I want to play the Final Fantasy games and I want to play them on the platforms I own. Supporting the DS with these games is not only good business sense but just good all round.

That's my logic.

There is also no reason whatsoever why it couldn't also go on PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, etc too...

It should!

I hope so.

I loved Final Fantasy III on the DS and with those little extra design tweaks, especially the no random battles, it would have been a near perfect game IMO...

No, because of load times.

That wasn't a problem on Final Fantasy III on DS IMO so I don't see why it would be a problem with another Final Fantasy game that incorporates some of the new design and gameplay elements...

DS games are cartridge based which means virtually no load times. I was refering to a final fantasy 12 port to PSP. I suspect the load times would be horrendous.

Hopefully FFCC DS is decent. Playing with 3 others actually made the GC version a much better playing experience.

There is a game coming to the DS. FF XII: Revenant Wings. There are videos of it on GameTrailers.

lol if you want to play them on platforms you own then maybe you should buy the platforms that the games you want to play come out on... if you want to play RE4.. dont buy a xbox. if you want to play Gears of War dont buy a Wii, if you want to play FFXII buy a PS2 not a GC
