IMO we're not ready for the PS3 yet.

Sony has been making awesome games and console but not many ppl buy them, the reason is we're not ready for it. Many ppl are still attached to the last gen gameplays and maybe few yrs later we'll start to enjoy the PS3.

naahhh... people are ready for the PS3 its just that its price puts them off (although it is the best value for money as a whole package one can get) ... I got the PS3 back in early 2007 and it was the most i've paid for a console since i started gaming.. however i never had regrets getting the PS3, enjoyed too many games (mostly exclusives)and it is my fav system this gen..

No lol, the hardware in the PS3 right now is already dated, it was already up against some intense competition with top of the line PCs the day it released. If they had held out any longer, any impact they hoped to make with next gen graphics would have been lost.

I agree.... we need another 20 years of inflation b4 the price makes sense.

I don't know what you mean by people being attached to last gen's gameplay, because the Wii and the DS are definitely selling. I think it's the price, marketing, and it's release that's caused it not to sell as well. $600 vs. $250 with $60 games vs. $50 games and a free game bundled in. I'm sure most people weren't ready for the $600 price tag, and now that it's $400, it's still the most expensive console. The majority of people don't even have HDTVs yet either. Also they don't know the difference between Blu-Ray/DVD, or care enough to pay the extra cost. Financially and technically most people aren't ready for the PS3. I almost forgot to mention the 360 had a year head start, and the Wii being in a league of it's own.

You're better off upgrading your computer with $400.

I mean they still prefer the gameplay of older games like Half Life, Halo, Battlefieldetc. An dwhen they release, it's a bit a head of its time, giving ppl bad impressions, and the high price of course.

people do buy it, i remmember when the ps1 first came out and noooooobody had it for like 2 years, people were still into sega genesis and snes, but it outlasted all of them plus the sega saturn plus the dreamcast
