Exactly. I just was shocked that it was decent. I expected it to be absolutely garbage.

Best show on TV IMO.
Like I've said before. If this game had a japanese look and developer, people would be all over it and not as close minded as they're now.
But this game is wrapped in a western look, that comes as generic to most.
It's a refreshing and insterestng approach by a western developer.
Agreed. It's one of the more original games of this generation, right up there with the likes of Crush, Portal, Zack and Wiki, and No More Heroes.Like I've said before. If this game had a japanese look and developer, people would be all over it and not as close minded as they're now.

IGN or Gamespot downed it, but I replayed that level like ten times trying to chain the whole thing into one long combo. It was alot of fun to me. It has that classic arcade game appeal where you keep trying to get a better score simply because you feel you can do better. Not to unlock anything or progress the story, but simply because you beat it and its like, "damn... if I hadn't got caught in a reload I coulda kept the combo going." This game will be alot of fun with a group of people going back and forth trying to top each other. Especially if "fun time" elements are burning or being consumed.
I certainly don' think its worth $60, but i'll definately buy it once it gets in the low $40s or if I get a bigger than expected paycheck. Actually the price of alot of games kinda brings down my rating a little bit. I don't thin any game this gen is worth $60. Mass Effect comes close but then I remember that Chrono Trigger, FF7, and KOTOR were only $50.
People buy those generic SHMUPS for the Dreamcast for $60, and still go and praise them.
