God of War: Chains of Olympus God of War I God of War ll God of War lll 3 great Sony exclusives and the 4th is TBA So in CoO, the tagline was “In the beginning there was chaos” The third chapter in the main story has the the tagline “In the end there will only be chaos” Does this mean that GoW lll is the final GoW game? I can imagine Kratos screwing up like Sony and somehow become an enemy of the Titans and Gods. Thus, the predictable death of Kratos at the end of the game. Anybody think that if this is true God of War will eventually have a new hero(and story) much like Metal Gear without Snake and Halo without Master Chief?
Naw, if Kratos dies in GOW3, I think you've got to end the series there. GOW is centered around just ONE guy against like everyone. Without Kratos, there's really no one else you can play as. He doesn't really have any allies or anything besides the Titans... Oh and he very briefly had an army in GOW2.
GoW's story is awesome and epic, expect the 3rd one to be amazing story line. What about the God of War movie, anyone knows anything new about it?Hitman533

i like god of war but godof war 2 , didnt do **** sales wiese so the only person wholl be saying by bye competition is rabid blind fanboys who thinks god of war 3 will sale beyond 3 million in the U.S

Yeah...
They could always experiment and mess around with someone elses Greek Mythology(sp?). Metal Gear can go on without Solid Snake and Halo can go on without Master Chief, i'm pretty sure they could start a whole new story with somebody who isn't Kratos.

I don't think he was talking sales, more like his opinion on how epic GoW 3 will be and how no other game in his opinion will compete with it. Gameplay wise. Also sales don't determine who good a game is. Look at SoTC's sales. It did pretty bad yet its better then 50% of games this gen.
What about in the Extras Section in God of War 1 after you beat the game? They talk about how Kratos was separated from his brother and such. I thought he would make an appearance in God of War II. Maybe he'll make one in III.
