Was i the only one that thought the graphics looked pretty good?:?i mean the spartens look danm good if u ask me almost as good as the E3 trailer........

who cares about the graphics until they are released.

I like the gameplay, ESPECIALLY the comment about asymetrical maps and choke points.

They are the exact same as the first multiplayer screenshots because its the same feed, the footage is from 2006.

Anyway the game does look pretty good so far.

They are the exact same as the first multiplayer screenshots because its the same feed, the footage is from 2006.

Anyway the game does look pretty good so far.

From what I saw (take this with a grain of salt, the quality of the video isn't spectacular.)

Textures - Good. Nice normal mapping especially, but environment texturtes were lacking in some places.

Lighting/Shadowing - Average. Too much static lighting, no real-time environment shadows..but decent. The game's specular mapping, in particular, is quite good.

Environment detail - Spotty. It seems good for the most part, but the game's terrain seems low-poly in the multiplayer maps they showed. There isn't enough normal mapping on environments in place to make up for that low detail, either (like many other games have.) No static objects really stood out to me as having particularly good detail either. And like I already mentioned, certain areas in the map (like the snowy wall in the bridge battle scene) have pretty poor detail.

Models - Very good. All the weapon models are very nicely detailed (just like the previous games,) as are player models. Animation is good, though it seems the capture framerate for those animations is pretty low (which really shows in the slow-mo sniper headshot replay.) Everything else is solid.

It probably depends on where ppl saw it. I saw it on my tv via XBLMP. It looked good to me. I also saw the youtube and gamevideos linked videos, it looked like halo 2.

Keep in mind video was from 2006 alpha stage.

Are you blind ? The player models are clearly placeholders. 

Agreed, i thought it looked very good (for an alpha build) and would probably be happy with those graphics in the final product, although i'm sure they have/will be improved greatly since that footage was taken :)Snugenz

Didn't it look odd seeing all those people jumping and circling each other. Much different from Gears of War.

man the game looks awesome and if u go to gametrailers.com and watch the multiplayer, I already am in love with the multiplayer, especially with the new grenades and all. This game will be one of the best multiplayer games of this year if not the best. This game looks real fun, I cant wait to play the beta. :)

Because they want to trickle info out, and this video had the X button feature and that was a big hype system they built up with that, now they released it just as they are about to release the beta.

The game already looks better than Halo 2, and will continue to get better.

The character models look very good. The main complaint about Halo 3 is it's enviorments, but most of the textures are placeholders from Halo 2. The game will look better when released.
