Indiana Jones and the Great Circle "showcase" pretty cringey, no?

What the **** is that bullshit at 3 minutes? Call that comedy? In the movies, the humor always felt... I don't know. What's the word? Ancillary? No. Help me out here. Well, until Last Crusade. That movie screwed up the comedy, brought it front and center almost, upped the silliness.

Harrison Ford likeness and expressions look so weird.

I hate how The Last Crusade doomed Indiana Jones into just being about the Nazis. Temple of Doom set a good precedent by going with Chinese and Indians in only the second movie and then Last Crusade ended what was originally supposed to be more movies as a trilogy with Nazis again, giving them a 66 percent presence throughout that trilogy. It's sad. Tiresome and sad.

Looks and feel like an Indiana Jones game to me. It is from a time that is considered cringe now. If they changed the formula there would be another group and possibly even you complaining about the change. Developers cannot please everyone. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I was blown away by this debut. I can't fucking wait. Everyone know is so pumped for this.

The movies were like that too, it seems like they tried to stick close to the movies. The problem is mostly that the Indy voice doesn't sound amazing (should have got the guy from Fate of Atlantis), and lems won't like if these cutscenes take control away from the player.

Good point, should not have given the IP to these people. Should have given it to someone good at third-person action.

I actually don't think this looks bad. I just wish we had a 3rd person option.

My only complaint is that they change constantly from first to third person perspective, I understand that they paid for Harrison Ford and want to show him, but it ruins the immersion.

It reminds me of the humor in the original movies so I love that they committed to the cringe-worthy comedy.

If you are as old as I am (and Todd Howard), then you would appreciate it.

I think that is what they were going for, lovers if the franchise that have been disappointed by the modernization seen in the recent movies.

I prefer this silly humor over Indiana Jones: Michael Bay edition

3:00 was pretty bad.

Otherwise it felt very Indiana Jones, and like the prev games seem to have a focus on puzzles.

What I'm not a fan of, and fully expect, is a barrage of hours of cutscenes and lots of gimmicky "player barely controls" sections like their shitty Wolf games that are garbo.

So yea, not picking this up, maybe on a deep, deep discount or something, looks exactly like think it will be.

I loved it myself. Thought the comedy was hilarious. Felt it captured the tone of the movies very well and Troy Baker does a great Harrison Ford impression. I’m very much looking forward to playing this when it comes out.

I still prefer if the game was in third person instead of first person since I feel that it would make more sense but it is what it is. I just care about the gameplay being good so hopefully it turns out great.

Be nice to have a remaster of Infernal Machine. They technically did remaster if for the N64 with better lighting but the updated controls borked it. Ironically similar to Tomb Raider: Remaster. Chalk un Cheese

Much more worried about the gameplay than the humor. Looks super rough and bad. That’s why they are only showing super brief snippets and are trying to make it seem cooler by syncing it to music.

@Sushiglutton: Nope, almost every single trailer has short snippets of gameplay with fast editing like that. It really is more a general thing than 'trying to hide the bad stuff' all nefarious like.

Yeah, but this is a five minute presentation of a game supposedly releasing this year. And they chose to show a cutscene...

If you have 2 minutes it makes sense to just edit together brief sequences. And perhaps show a longer sequence on the side (like Phantom Blade).

But we do see some gameplay and the way the whip works looks supert artificial, janky and bad to me.

I felt it looked good my only worry was the hand to hand combat looked a bit off no worries about gunplay from machine games but hams to hand looked sluggish.

Just to clarify a few things, this Indy game is sticking to the old school Indianan Jones films (before Kingdom of the Krystal Skulls and Dial of Destiny) so this game is being faithful to the old films. And for what its worth, its doing a good job of it. I don't need this to be top-of-the-line graphics and it looks fine to me.

The ChooChoo German guy was the funniest part, can't have an Indy villain without some kind of humor to it.

Yes, Troy Baker is voicing Indiana Jones and he has done a great job impersonating a much younger Harrison Ford while using his likeness.

Edit: One thing I think we can all agree on, this game will be miles better than Dial of Destiny cause that last Indy film was massive disappointing. A game can make it all better.

Not an Indy fan and the dialogue of the movies was very cheesy, and from the looks of it so is the game. So it will appeal to Indy fans, I mean isn't that what you want?

Love Machine Games, love the Wolfenstein reboots. Not sure why they get so much flak, they make really high-quality games at the very least so I have no doubt this game will be a solid release.

The voice actor is...OK. Not going to lie it could kill the immersion a bit but I won't let it stop me from enjoying it. Just a little voice in my head telling me the voice on screen isn't really Harrison Ford.

Yep, people don't know how to have fun anymore. I get that variety is the spice of life and we all are looking for the next big epic thing; but at the same time, can we just stop for two seconds every so often and enjoy something simple, pure, fun, and a little goofy? Something like classic Indiana Jones?

You don't have to "wow" me to entertain me. If anything, I'd prefer you don't try to "wow" me if it's going to be lame. KISS: keep it simple, stupid.

Funny, I remember most gamers got upset when they found out Cyberpunk 2077 was going to be in FPS and not TPS, but as it turns out, when the game came out, everyone can agree playing Cyberpunk 2077 in FPS was probably the best choice by CDPR and it just makes the immersive more so.

Let's just wait for Indiana Jones to be release and see if it was worth playing in FPS.

The dialogue came across just like the OG Indiana Jones movies, which is great. They need to show off the gameplay (much) more though.
