great footage but this is far from new, as far as i can tell the newest footage is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fGnb2zpyGk
i'm glad they are going to use the wires up the sides of buildings to be able to climb easier.
it was a chore in the first one and hopping up the buildings made me cringe every time i had to do it.
I feel less impressed every time i see footage of this game... sadly. 8.0 calling it now.

why? Maybe only on GS. I don't even care about their scores anyway.
New new Cole sucks... brind back new cole! He was much cooler looking. Stupid fans complaining about pointless things... HellsAngel2c
^^ This x100. I have no idea why people want this boring and generic look for Cole when the E3 version had some actual personality behind him. Now he just looks like a plain nobody.
Stupid fans complaining about pointless things, indeed. Funny part is that Cole's character design in inFamous 1 was one of the things everyone seemed to have a problem with. Sort of oxymoronic if you ask me...
His original ugly face you mean ;) Sorry he can't look lke a super model for you, lol.I was expecting something I haven't seen besides his new ugly face.

inFAMOUS got a 9.0 here and everything shown so far in the sequel looks like it can match the score. Regardless what it scores this game is definitely a must buy for me at least.I loved the first game but it had a lot of untapped potential, and from everything I have seen including this old video I can tell inFAMOUS 2 will be much better than the first title, a change akin to Uncharted(1&2) series.[QUOTE="Luxen90"]His original ugly face you mean ;) Sorry he can't look lke a super model for you, lol.I was expecting something I haven't seen besides his new ugly face.

It has nothing to do with him looking attractive. It has everything to do with bad character design. Kratos is one of the ugliest main characters I've seen in a video game, but his character design is superb.

I never had a problem with the old Cole. I like him. And it's more about consistency than anything else. I mean imagine if Drake from Uncharted looked more like a teenager with long hair and had a younger voice. You wouldn't like that right?[QUOTE="xYamatox"][QUOTE="HellsAngel2c"]New new Cole sucks... brind back new cole! He was much cooler looking. How about if Guerrilla changed the helghast into blue eyed blonde warriors!? you'd like that huh!? At one point I too was in favour of the new look but then I realised once a character is established no matter how many haters it has you can't mess with the DNA of what made the title popular. Sure you may say it was the gameplay and platforming but Cole is very much a part of that experience.[QUOTE="xYamatox"][QUOTE="HellsAngel2c"]New new Cole sucks... brind back new cole! I mean imagine if Drake from Uncharted looked more like a teenager with long hair and had a younger voice. You wouldn't like that right? No, but that is a very different situation then the one with Cole. There is nothing wrong with GIVING a character personality when there wasn't one there to begin with. Cole in inFamous 1 had no emotion in wht he said, seemed to care little to what was going on, and was more recognizable by his outfit than his actual personality. Nathan Drake on the other hand ALREADY has a generally accepted personality to his character, so changing things probably would annoy the fanbase.
Let me ask you this, though. Imagine in Uncharted 1, Nathan Drake hardly had any of his charismatic nature about him. He was more or less a "John Doe" character. Would you be opposed if they gave him his personality in Uncharted 2, or would you rather have him be another uninteresting character for "consistantcy"?
The looks were fine of cole (before they reredid him) but his voice was not, yet they changed the looks (closer to the first game) but left his voice. His voice is SOOO bad. The game looks good and I am sure I will pick it up, but highly unlikely as a first day purchase. I REALLY wish they would fix the framerate.

there was nothing wrong with the framerate... But I did see the pop up from the first infamous has barely got any better :P

Improvement is improvement no matter how you look at it. If giving the Helghast blue eyes and blond hair improves their characeristics and leads to an overall better design, then why the hell not?
Oh wait, it;s already been done!
Official concept art from Killzone: Liberation. :P

The first Infamous has framerate issues and this one appears to as well. I don't understand how people don't notice this. At times it got pretty bad in the first one and it was quite annoying. Of course it never made the game completely unplayable, just super annoying and distracting. It is my biggest gripe with Infamous.

Instead of taking the easy route out the devs should flash out the character; giving him more of a personality, slight alterations to the look but still retaining what makes him familiar to the fanbase. Just because Cole was a shell of a character in the first game doesn't man Sucker Punch can't fill that shell with awesome detail in the sequel.

It doesn't have any major frame rate issues. It got a lot worse as you progressed through the game, the near end was pretty rough at points. So it really depends on where you are in the game. Even IGN said there are noticeable framerate hiccups but that it was nothing that made the game unplayable. I think they sort of understated it, as the framerate can get quite bad IMO. It is one of the few games I have played recently where it was actually a problem for me.

The voice actor thing I can relate with you about, but even then I can excuse it. What is new Cole ended up being 5x more interesting then the old one? Would Sucker Punch have been wrong to change him? Better IS better in the end of the day (assuming the newCole design ended up being better, that is).

They changed his appearance as in he looks younger. Now they may give an explanation in game saying "Oh didn't you know? Electric powers keeps you looking younger forever" And like i said before twice now, I LIKED the old Cole so I can be upset even if the new Cole is "more interesting"Please Log In to post.
