I have now completed my first play through of inFAMOUS 2 and I must say the game is truely exceptional, but what I didn't expect was for the soundtrack to be this impressive. Jim Dooley did a real stand out job. Have a listen

Get Bertrand

Bertrand(pretty much the perfect villain's theme. Gets epic at 2:20)

I'd say at this point with how big game budgets are now a day I'm more often surprised if a game doesn't have a good soundtrack.

Agreed. I loved the first so much I bought the soundtrack from iTunes, will be doing the same with the sequel.

It may have good music, but I wish there was an option to turn it down (maybe I just haven't found it yet) because sometimes it gets in my way.

Haven't played the game yet but that soundtrack does sound pretty good. My favorite OST this year though is still Crysis 2.

I think it takes a bit more than just money to produce a great soundtrack

Agreed. I really like Cole's theme.

Not to mention this soundtrack seems like it does something different that alot of other game music doesn't do. Could someone help me out on that?

I thought that's what the point of it was. To enhance your playing experience to a point where the sounds seem natural to the game environment. Are you saying that if you noticed some death metal playing as Infamous 2's music, that it would mean the soundtrack was good?

This should help you out. It's a feature about the creation of the game's music

Just when I get back from an inFamous session I see this. It's so true, the soundtrack is great, especially "Plight".

Yeah its surprisingly subtle, if that makes any sense. It isn't constantly in your face and there isn't just simple ambience in the background. It's consistently good.
