Infamous Demo impressions

One word: Awesome. THe graphics are okay (actually they are on the level of gta 4 with less detailed cars, and uglier character models) but there is pop-in issues, and other complaints. They aren't as s***y as other sandbox and other rpg (fable 2, saints row), but more on the level of banjo kazzoie nuts and bolts. The gamepay is awesome, but I don't like the odd animation clips here and there while climbing. Besides that this game is really awesome. Awesome with a capital A.

also the launch center has arrived (which means probably a good review). I don't know any game with a launch center that got a bad review (did halo wars have one?).

ive been looking for bad impressions from the demo so my hype wouldnt get too high but havent found one. im surprised by the graphics not being above gta 4 tho. thought this was supposed to be one of the best looking sand box games. doesnt really matter day 1 for me either way.

Bah that sux, why do they not release it for all at PSN or all that pre-order at ANY store of choice and not just for gamestop? :(

Graphics and framerate are ok, controls well, easy to move around, nearly anything is scalable, combat seems like it has potential for some crazy comboing once you've figured stuff out. Generally it seems like a good game, but eh, I'm not feeling it.

Did you find the Infamous powers to be more fun than the Heroic ones? Especially the grenades and shockwave. I was surprised how well the framerate holds up when you've got cars and people flying everywhere.

the demo ahhhhhhhhh............awesome isnt it ? sadly its as fun as it looks ladies and gentleman.....not much at all, its basicaly crackdown/swtfu except cole is not strong....and can't move as fast, its certainly better than crackdown......missions are not anything unheard of before.......i like to think of it as sly cooper with karma and electricity powers....but eh......you're a superhero and you find yourself getting punked by mere humans......the combat is useless because you'll never use hand to hand, you'll always shock people, throw grenades, and "force push" lol dont go through it thinking you're gonna be a super hero power house cause youre not. and you will die easily. blowing up cars is about as much fun as i had......demo is solid...but its not the "game we havnt seen before", when the game is reviewed one of its bad things might be the repetitiveness....you can try to get creative with killing people but it all just feels the same.....shock them......climb a pole......shock them........drain a telephone pole.......shock them on a wall.....shock shock shock shock shock !, karma doesn't make a bit of difference because you will still get bad karma for doing things that "seem good", many contradictions, but buy it if you have a ps3 though

GODDAMIT.......i wanted to like it soooooooooo much......i ignored that some of the videos showed off its repetitiveness......but it plays exactly how the videos showed it.....and thats disapointing

Positive: Can be fun for a few minutes (blowing up cars ftw)........red lightning is beautiful (if that helps your decision at all ?)........i really cant think of many more positive **** just nvm lol because i can go on about how i am disapointed. i just dont feel the drive to continue missions, ALL I WANT TO DO IS BLOW UP CARS AGAIN AND AGAIN

maybe its because i grew out of platform based games after the ps2 ? blah idunno its just not my game :/.........i felt the same about Xmen origins wolverine......they claimed it was the best experience ever, better than every wolverine game....well while chopping people in half was fun......its just another hack n slash.....inFamous would have been AMAAAAAAAAAAZING in 2003 :/
