Infinite Undiscovery - Not a flop in Japan

Famitsu magazine gave Infinite Undiscovery 9/8/8/7 for 32 points and a Gold reward. There seems to be mixed reviews for this rpg. I really am not suprised by the 6.5 that Gamespot gave Infinite Undiscovery. After all Gamespot did give Tony Hawk Pro Skater a 10. Gamespot is not known for thier love of JRPGS.

IT flopped at alot of other reveiw sites also. Gamespot wasn't the only one.

With that said, Im still gettting the game later when I get some cash.

media create pegs 360 sales on average a mere 5-6 k behind PS3 per week. which isnt that bad at all.

the japan price cut is the 11th. Undiscovery is released ther on the 11th.

That is correct. On September 11 IU will come out in Japan.

I gave JRPGs a shot. I'm done with them. I have Lost Odyssey & from the look & feel of all JRPGs I've seen so far, it doesn't appear I need another one. It's just more of the same. The running around & cartoony (arcadish?) turn-based combat is just soo underwhelming. I haven't figured out why they like these games so much. I guess you had to be there.

Frankly, I don't care if 360 sells in Japan or not. It's a lost cause. Focus on the audience that loves it: the Americans!

Even then, thats not enough, Tokyo Racer games sell there, yet despite the whole customs thing being popular, they will outright refuse to buy NFS.

yes thats fact but the margin is closer then cows would have you believe. thevesperia boost with the upcoming price drop + undiscovery launch on the 11th plus the holiday release of Last Remnant should shake things up.

FFXIII ( exclusuve in Japan )+PS3 = Xbox360 can kiss catching up to the PS3 in Japan goodbye.

PS3 2.24 million ( or something like that ).

Xbox360 not even a million sold yet ( in Japan ).

At this rate the 360 will catch up with the PS3 in 2020 in Japan.

3 million ps3 against 600k 360 there not even close

360 sales go up once a year due to a (jrpg this year twice) and falls down back to less than 10,000 a week.

26000 vs i believe it was 9000 for the ps3. the next week it was 7000 360 vs 11000 ps3. it was a lot for the 360 but it didn't do anything for the 360

BD got like a 35 or 36. Considering Famitus does seem to have a bias towards JRPGs, it's no surprise.
