Infinity Ward wants to be hated from their tall, ivory throne!!!

You've all seen the latest comments from IW about the Wii's inhability to deliver their gifts from heaven. Now it seems that they took a page Activision's beloved CEO and decided to throw their noses in the air and be douchebags towards Treyarch over their port.

Wonder why there where no media released ? yeah, they wanted too but werent allowed:

"IW has a very large say in how anything with "Call of Duty" on it gets promoted. I'm told that more press material is "coming soon" but they've been saying that for quite a while now."

Game is already hitting stores, no official screens besides the pre-beta ones Treyarch never wanted released

plus...

"We weren't allowed to make any substantive changes to the look of the game. We were forbidden contractually from making any content-based changes to the game"

Treyarch also wasn't allowed to add an intro movie for their own logo. It's all Activision and Infinity Ward, as seen above.

Treyarch developer responds to the lack of credit given to their studios over this port:

"I think we are at the very end of the credits, after IW's catering people."

I can feel the love in the air between these two

Oh and Activision has been taking down every Youtube video of people filming themselves actually playing the game they bought.

All of Treyarch's work is, as far as promotion goes, reduced to this:

Blurry, amateur cellphone pics. They're lucky IW cant take these down.

And please focus on this disgusting display of cockiness and desregard from IW/ACT towards their colleagues, and not the system or the game.

Recently I just like to think of IW as being the caligula of the videogame developer world lol. They just cant be stopped. I would have changed it to let them hate as long as the buy Modern warefare 2 but my latin isn't very good XD

Its crazy how EA was once HATED so much by so many, and in such little time Activision/IW is able to fill those shoes and do Even MORE than EA ever did.

This is sad. Destroying the main aspect of your game and then practically saying that the company that makes other games in the series sucks because they aren't awesome like us.

Yeah, I thought of that. But ACTIVISION would still own the Treyarch offices and name, and would put in more zombies to crank out games. :P

The reason for all this dislike between IW and Treyarch is because so many people thought that IW made Call of Duty 3, easily the worst main game in the franchise. A lot of people thought IW had put that game out, and they were pissed at Treyarch for turning in such a half-hearted effort.

I think IW need to get over it though. Whats done is done. Nobody even remebers 3 anymore.

Call of Duty 3 wasn't even Treyarchs fault, they had 8 months to make a full blown quality product, not many developers could pull that off.

Its only a matter of time until IW and Acti get a major dose of reality. Once people grow tired Acti's crap and move on from their burned out franchise, the shareholders will showgood oleBobby the door. I'm one of the biggest Treyarch haters there is, but this is ridiculous! I can understand Activision not allowing Treyarch to alter the game too much (or at all as the case may be) but not allowing the Treyarch logo to appear when the game starts up is absurd! As is the fact that Activision isn't allowing any sort of previews/advertisement for the game. However, I totally get where IW's loathing for Treyarch is coming from.

But anyway, while I had pretty much lost all respect for IW with the recent PC nonsense (and the way I had heard they talk about Treyarch) and the way they treat (ignore) the Wii, if I had any left, it's gone now after this thread

With the recent videos of Modern Warfare: Reflex, I've actually gained some respect for Treyarch, since I figured the game was justy a cash-in, and while it still is where Activision is concerned, it looks like Treyarch put some legitimate effort into it, and even adopted the customizable controls from The Conduit (arguably it's best/only good feature). It's almost like they're trying to make a point or two.
