I think thats the problem with game sequels now days. They try to reinvent their game, instead of simply building on whats already there. Socom 2 is the best sequel I've ever played. Not necessarily the best game, although I really liked it, but all it did was add new maps (kept the old ones too) more guns and more stats. Perfect in my mind. Dont fix what isn't broken. I can't say that it translates to your topic very well, but oh well
