When I saw the trailer, I really thought it was the bar from the Deadpool movie.

Kind of wish it was Deadpool but Ill definitely play this at some point. Not for $70 though lol

Absolutely fucking amazing to me. My favorite comic character finally getting a game by a good developer. This honestly made the show for me.

X-Men Origin Wolverine was really underrated, I'm just glad to see Logan is back in action and his last game was freaking brutal too. Let's hope it stays that way for this new Wolverine game.

Can Marvel and all this super-hero crap just f**k off already. How can people haven't got tired by the over abundance of this franchise! It's already more than a decade. 30 movies, 89 shows and now dozens of games each year.

I'd guess 2024 or 2025 since Spider-Man 2 trailer said 2023.

I wonder how the license works. Sony seems to have the Spidey ip locked for games but Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 does feature Spidey and its only on Switch but, Marvel Avengers have Spidey exclusive on PS. With Sony doing the Wolverine game will he still be available to appear on other games on other system 🤔🤔🤔

Doubt it since it's Insomniac making it and they are owned by Sony.

I could see it maybe coming to PC 4-5 years after initial PS5 release at the most.

The Spiderman license is rumored to be tied to the MCU deal that Sony struck with Disney.

My guess is they perhaps paid for Wolverine or, maybe there's a clause in the deal that allows them use some other IP in limited ways.

Wow I didn't know that Insomniac is making both a new Spider-Man and a Wolverine game at the same time. It would be cool if they did a Deadpool game as well. Now that would be amazing.

Insomniac claimed in a Spider-Man PS4 developer interview that Marvel/Sony approached them with the opportunity to make a Marvel game using any character/IP. I find it hard to believe though, Spider-Man MCU deal with the game licensing seems like more of a reality.

Lol are you serious? Marvel has had nothing but shitty low budget mobile games until Insomniacs Spider-Man. It wasn't since Capcom had the rights to X-Men that we had good games. Spider-Man was honestly the first great Marvel game in over a decade and now this could be the same with an awesome character that has never really had a great game.

For me the fact Insomniac is making this is what really makes this announcement special. Between this and Spider-Man they definitely have a full plate.

Marvel saw how successful Spider-Man was( most successful marvel game ever) and probably said " what else would you like to do"?

This interview was about before Spider-Man PS4 released, but yeah I'm sure after Spider-Man passed 20 million copies sold, that's what they said

I said in the other thread, this could be their Last of Us moment. A super violent, intense action game that tonally differs from Spider-Man.

September 2021 - Summer 2022 will have had Deathloop, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Guardians of the Galaxy, Forsaken, Ghostwire Tokyo, Gran Turismo 7, God of War, Horizon Forbidden West. Then next spring/summer they will announced whatever is coming fall 2022 and beyond

Yea, I think that was when they did the first Spider-Man game though.

There was a link on Reddit a year ago where the guy said he knew someone at Marvel Studios.. and they were in talks of making a Wolverine and Daredevil game. I thought it was all bullshit but it looks like it could be credible. If the rest of the leak is to be believed Wolverine will be more of a GoW style game( not open world) and the DD will be open world but I wonder who's making Daredevil. Could be Sony Bend or Suckerpunch.

Fun fact: In the trailer, the license plate on the side of the bar says "HLK 181" which is a reference to the original appearance of Wolverine in the comics. That's the level of fan service and attention to detail that Insomniac is currently at. It's pretty impressive.
