if that 's not a hint, why the CEO suddenly talking about it.
Your thread title is incredibly misleading considering the content of your post. There really isn't any hint of Insomniac going multiplatform.

Well they are second party afterall, it could happen, it would be nice to see their talents spread over

thats what happens when you see you developed a really great game and Gears 2 is outsells your games lifetime sales in about 24 hours.

Thats harsh:lol:And Cows claimed RFOM2 will be just as big as Gears:lol:
Misleading thread title, TC. All they're saying is that they wouldn't mind making games on the 360 and have seen the benefits of multiplat games. It could happen, yes, but they didn't say they want to now.

As far as Resistance goes, like Price said in the interview, being exclusive to the PS3 probably helped the title stand out a bit in the overcrowded FPS genre. If it were multiplat, it probably gets overshadowed by Gears and other bigger titles. Insomniac is a talented group with more than one title to fall back on though.

Um I have to disagree, if it was on the 360 and the PS3, it would sell very well on the 360, probably would double sales of what it actually is today.
It WAS overshadowed by Gears. R2 is being overshadowed by Gears 2 as well.

When the ship is sinking you would want to jump in too.
Insomniac needs to do what they need to do to survive this gaming business nowadays.

For a PS3 exclusive, Resistance sold very well. Obviously not as well as Gears but the point I'm making here is that Gears did not overshadow it, it out sold it (big difference). The fate of R2 remains to be seen, though I doubt it approaches Gears2 numbers. Were Resistance multiplatform, Gears, Halo 3 and other titles would likely overshadow Resistance to an extent that it wouldn't even reach the sales it on the PS3 alone. I've heard that Insomniac will announce 2 new PS3 games at GDC next year along with a new IP for the Xbox 360. So it looks like they're going multiplat but the PS3 will still be their main focus so Sony won't actually lose anything. But these are just rumours, they could easily turn out to be untrue.Floppy_Jim
Well, that's interesting.
I've heard that Bungie may be doing the same thing, but with the PS3 in mind. It's just a rumor, so we'll see.
Insomniac for 360, Bungie for PS3, what the?!

I think those resistance sales are begining to make them nervous about their future. Anyone who thinks that resistance would not have sold a hell of alot more on the ps3 is just kidding themselvs, being exclusive to the losing platform has got to bite into the profits somewhatthegoldenpoo
From whay im hearing Resistance 1 sold well and IM pretty sure 2 will sell just as much. Just cause ther no midnight madness for resistance doesint mean its selling poorly. Gears is just more mainstreamed.
