So some of you already put your Acrapy 1300 in the closet next to your Magnavox Odyssey to make room for your awesome IV but your wondering what to do with all those games. Well don't worry! ahh hell. the lip syncing kids in ur sig... wtf is that from.. SO FUNNY !! what a nerd !!! LOL. I swear i seen that... somewhere... but where ?????? 

   Ah yes, the Intellivision, probably the most under rated and misunderstood console in the history of the industry:

   Pros:

• More powerful then the Atari 2600
• Had the most talented programmers working for them (the Blue Rangers, way befor the Power Rangers.)
• Far more innovative (Utopia invented the RTS genre.)
• The best ever movie tie in games (the TRON trilogy.)

  Cons:

• Never had the money Atari had and couldn't tie up populer arcade games.
• More expensive

  Little known facts:

• The Rarest game out is Pro Beach Volleyball which can garner $600 easy for one (I own one.)
• They pioneered baseball games with Major League World Series Baseball, the 1st ever MLB game that featured stat tracking.
• During the time Nintendo 1st started out, a company bought the rights to the Intellivision and tried to bring it back.
• I purchased my 1st one in 1987 and it still works today, way longer then any Sony machine I have ever owned.

 I have one  up on EBay up for auction with a 12 games and 3 of them RARE...

Ahhhh.  the Intellivision how I remember it so fondly.  I know have the voice from "B-17 Bomber" in my head/  Bogey 9 o clock!  Woohooo.  The problem with the intellivision is it didn't have hardcore games for hardcore gamers.  Not once did I get to shoot a cop and nail a hooker.  I guess the system was "kiddie".  Hmmm, so now that I think about the Intellivisions lack of first person shooter I realize all of my fond memories of it being fun must have been wrong.  Seriously, the baseball ruled, Snafu killed time like no other, and the Intellivision also taught me  poker at a real young age. 

The memories are great and then the Colecovision came out.  That was great too, but ahead of its time.

No the xbox would be atari 2600. the wii will be the NES and put away all of them. Remember colecovision I think they were the xbox at the time.  they had some great games out as well.

Graphics were always important. It was always understood that a new console had to have better graphics. The Wii is the first console to introduce "graphics don't matter". This is totally new to the history of system wars.

I just got the IV, and it's incredible, my dad I thought I was watching the Stanley Cup playoffs, but I was playing hockey on the IV! Thats how amazing the graphics are.Hyper-Chicken

In 1982, I argued with a few friends at lunch about Atari vs Intellivision. I owned the Atari 2600 and the other guy just bought an Intellivision. Most people were defending the Atari. That may have been one of the first system wars. Of course, none of our arguments were based on facts. :)Berserker_2
