Nononono... Didn' you read the latest spin report from Sony?
"We now have sufficient supply to meet the unprecedent demand for our latest Playstation offering".
That's how they spin no one buying it. Get your facts straight.
Why is this targeted directly towards Sony, the fact is Nintendo are thrashing everybody not just Sony, it seems stupid to say Sony are failing all the time when Microsoft are in just as much trouble.meischris39
MS wasn't the one recently going on about being the fastest selling system ;)

MS might also be doing bad, but Sony is doing bad while claiming to be succesful, and that's why they're always beat on.
These forums are knee deep in denial. They just avoid this topic because they know that trying to argue against this is just going to make them look foolish. Not exactly surprising, for most of us anyways. After week 2 and the 80% drop in sales, some of us even saw that coming. At week 3 it's harder to deny it now, but there'll probably be still lots of denial.

OK I'll bite, the Wii is outselling the competition so what.
There's still no games on there that interest me,it still the weakest console by far,its still not getting any of the big 3rd party games that the 360/PS3 is getting, the online is still non excistant.
Wow something that costs £179 is ouselling something that costs £425,who would have thought huh.
Well the wii is just like tamagotchis and those kind of things everyone wants one but then it gets old really quick.
And how can the wii get old? Well there are only 3 major titles coming.
And so the thread is spun to something about Wii sales, as opposed to explaining how the PS3 sales plummeting so much won't hurt in the long run.RahnAetas
Microsoft have not cracked the 11 million mark in 3 months yet it's only Sony that you talk about. I wish the fanboys realisd their eagerness to call the war after only 5 months of the PS3 being on the market does not hide their insecurity. The PS3 will be fine and to think otherwise is simply denial in its purest form.

Currently its only month five, and unlike PS3 was not expected by the big devs to be a hit, if they knew then what they know now it would have been very different,
in the next few months you'll see how third party support will be shifting

Not really. At the pace at which the PS3 is selling, it will catch up to 360 in number of units sold in I don't know... 20 years? If ever? What the PS3 needed was momentum, a lot of momentum. You know the kid the Wii has right now.

Give the Wii another 5 years and it will still be the same underpowerd piece of **** that it is now.
Give the PS3 another year and Home should be up and running ,Blu Ray would have won the format war and the games that devs are working on now should be finished.
So yeah, lets give both consoles some time before we start gloating.

Not really what? and the PS3 will be fine I think in your incoherent post you disputed this fact. The XBOX 360 has completely stalled in sales. I will admit the PS3 is not flying off the shelves as well but is doing amazing for a 600 dollar console. Those of us that actually own one I think are anything but worried about its ineveitable success.

Even if Blu-ray will have won, the S-DVD will still be king, home doesn't justify $600 not when Second life is so much cheaper
And even if the games that are being worked on now are done so what, it'll still be $600 and the Wii will be $250, with its own games that appeal to far more

Why do you think a ford taurus outsells a Mercedes in the us? hmm...price? but does it mean that tauruses are better then mercedes? there all good systems but if all consoles were the same price who do you think will sell more consoles? Thats a good new topic! lol im going to make that.fuman3
Then why didn't GCN win?
It seems every new console launch breaks sales records these days, but as I have said from the outset the PS3 sales have declined after launch as the Sony fans, technophiles and those swept up in the media hype/brandname fetishism dissipate.
I live in the UK and many retailers have cut the price of the PS3 already from £425 to £399, there is also no stock shortage as there is with the Wii. I suppose you could regard that as a positive if the existing stock was being sold rather than sitting in storerooms.
The worst part is, the Wii is supply limited, while the PS3 still has massive stockpiles sitting around.psycotictaratua
The wii is amazing
435K in January and its sold Out, 335K in Feb still sold out in NA
In JPN 100K in one week sold out, 44K in this other week and its still sold out
Where are those consoles going???????

You mean after selling the fastest in history there arent as many people buying it than at launch and only 8,000 more people decided to buy the cheaper system= OMGZ PS3 is teh Fail!!!!11111
I just find it amazing that people are praising Nintendo for being unable to meet demand. Common the thing is just a Gamecube with a new controller...it can't be that difficult to make. Just catch up to demand so once people start seeing the on shelves it will mean that they arent selling anymore(as it is apparently true for both the PS3 and 360). Stop playing mind games with the consumers by making them think the demand for the thing is so far above its competitors(I extremely doubt it) and just reward the sheep dumb enough to actually buy the thing as a primary console. They should stop compensating for their lack of games and inferiority and put all those stockpile of Wii I suspect they have in their warehouses on the market already. They are just setting themselves up for embarassment in a year or so from now when the fad burns out.

Truth-slayer
8k more in the UK, not Europe.
And even with your suggestion of them stockpiling the Wii... it's outsold the PS3 and Xbox360 in the US, by 200k and 100k for the past 2 months...
They are in a shortage and still outeselling both the PS3 and Xbox360... by over 100k units... .... I wouldn't say that's a good thing for Microsoft or Sony...
So much for the dmeand not being higher...

Nice. I saw a pre-owned PS3 in the window of Gamestation today for £399. Still a bit expensive for my tastes.
