Ummm, you dont HAVE to upgrade anything. Yes, a lot of PC gamers upgrade often, but thats their choice. Why do people insist that you absolutely HAVE to upgrade everytime a new graphics card comes out? Its completely ridiculous.

That's your prerogative, some people like upgrading, modding/playing mods, fiddling with graphical settings, being top dog with graphics, using a mouse and keyboard, playing pc type games. It's optional and with such a large catalogue, you really dont need to play the latest games for quality games, even then, games are scalable graphically.

As for world of warcraft, you could say any game on any format is overated, including your blessed wii.

Oh yeah, buying parts that take upwards of fifteen minutes to install every 2-3 years is such a pain in the ass.

The argument is used quite frequently around here... it's just if not more uninformed than the once stated Nintendo going 3rd party or the Wii being a fad(I can understand people not liking the console; but if you're going to show your disapprovel towards it, at least use a word that makes sense around its very meaning). So this isn't really unexpected in any way.

Because no one wants them from GameStop, GameStop is terrible with rip off trade in prices from games that you just recently bought for your 360/PS3/Wii, you fork out $59.99+tax and you trade them in and you'll get like $5 from them, trust me that happened with Halo 3. Plus GameStop doesn't even sell PC games anymore, I asked if they had the Warcraft 3 battle chest, and they said they don't sell PC games, because the CD Keys totally ruined it, thus killing off trade-ins for PC games.

Upgrading is an advantage.

If I can play every console port maxed out at 1680x1050 on a 2006 GPU architecture; why would I ever need to upgrade to play the same games consoles get? Five years from now I will still be able to play the same games as consoles with this GPU, console hardware isn't going to get more powerful.

If I upgrade it will be to play games console systems could never handle.

cod4 runs on a 2003 pc so explain how you have to upgrade? scct looks as good as many new games and runs maxed on a gf 6600. bioshock can be maxed on $50 gpu or one from 2004. you only need to upgrade to try and max out crysis, any other game runs just fine on 2005's 7800s

WoW(Although I hate MMO's), Starcraft 2, Spore, Diablo 3, Half Life 2+Exp., Orange Box, Left 4 Dead, Company of Heroes+Exp., Red Alert, STALKER, and more....all say HI! :D

Also, improved games Gears of War, Mass Effect, to name a few all look x10 better.
