Iphone 4 or 3DS?

Hey guys I am looking into buying a new portable system and since I needed a new phone I thought the Iphone 4 would be nice since I can use it as a portable system and a phone. But after E3 I heard about how amazing the 3DS is. So I am stuck! Which one should I get?

3DS will most likely be better and Cheaper...And be 3D.

The iPhone 4 is a great phone, and a decent portable gaming device. The 3DS looks like it'll be a great portable gaming device, and will be okay in other areas... but it won't make calls.

Get a freaking phone for phone calls but if you want a Gaming Device then get the 3DS.

Ummm....seriously? If you need a phone get an iPhone and if you want a gaming device get a 3DS

Get the 3DS for gaming and an Android phone for phoning.

I'm thinking it would be better to get a cheaper, Android phone and a 3DS. That way you can get the best of both worlds :)

If you need games then get the 3DS when it ships.

If you actually need a phone then get an iPhone.

The iPhone is probably the most useful device I've had in my adult life, but the two of them together will complement each other well.

You're going to be very disappointed with the games on the iPhone. You can get another phone for much cheaper, just don't get the iPhone for the games.

iPhone =/= games like You know them.
3DS =/= phone.

So get a cheap simple phone, with which You can do nothing but call people, and with a way to take the battery out.
And get a 3DS.

And then You are all set.

Also i live with 5 people who use a mobile phone, i don't.
These 5 people are surprised month after month how much it costs them.
And every once in a while they get scammed or registered by someone else for some kind of payed sms subscription that costs them all their money, a couple of times, before they get rid of it again.
Well actually it usually results in them throwing their phone away and getting a new, way too expensive phone.

I save like 25 euro a month by not having a mobile, i also save my brains from getting fried by mobiles, and i can go and watch a kids football game without being distracted by a possible phone call.

I'm never going to take a mobile, and if You don't really Need to have a mobile then i suggest You first try living without. Just my 2 cents.

I want to say that even with a 3DS, you will probably still find a use for gaming on the iPhone. And the reason is simply because it is so cheap and convenient -- there will be times when you'll be walking around with just a phone in your pocket, when you'd like a game to pass the time, or even when really expensive DS or PSP games comes out on the App Store for much cheaper. There are control issues, I won't deny that, and it's a problem if you can't put up with it. But for a gamer, the 3DS and iPhone are good, complementary devices.

I highly doubt the iPhone is perfect for a Gamer.

Also please look around for phones made in the same factories as iPhones. I heard that there are phones that are the same as iPhone without the iPhone brand on it, that go for about half the price. Haven't looked into it as i don't use phones, but be sure to have a look around on the net.

After 30 years, there must be some practical advantage to having a mobile (I mean a cell phone...goddamnit). Some people don't even have a landline, and I think they might be on to something.

I'll have both by the end of the year, if the 3ds comes out for Christmas.

One is out now the other is out in March so I think you can get the phone now and worry about the 3ds when the time comes.
